Sox aren't hitting this guy today. All Clev needs is a couple runs and it's over. This last month has been so frustrating. Watching this team right now you have to wonder how they are even a .500 team.

Lose tomorrow and then you have the red hot Tigers for 4 who have a real shot at that last WC. Right now I don't see this team making the playoffs at all. I hope they prove me wrong.

Like was stated by the OP the Sox have to get at least 1 against the Guardians. If they are swept they will not only be 2nd in the AL Central they will be more than likely at least a game back of Toronto for the final WC spot unless they are swept at home by Detroit in their next 3. Toronto, Texas, and Baltimore are all still alive for the final WC spot and Toronto plays Baltimore 3 more and Texas 3 more. At this point the Sox just have to win. It's a 13 game season. They still need no help from anyone as long as they win. Worst case if they are swept by the Guardians they probably have to go 10-3 to have any chance at the WC.

We all know how this is going to play out. The stinking Guardians know how to win when it counts. Look what they did down the stretch last year to overcome the stinking Tigers. You know Kwan and Ramirez will both go 9 for 14 in the next 3.

Against Cleveland's pitching this offense at present doesn't stand a chance. Just an absolute disaster of a performance by the offense this last month. Hard to be excited at all about the future the way this is ending.

Is this how this team is going to let this play out? They have 15 games left to show who they are. All the good vibes of the season could go right down the drain if they blow this and miss the playoffs. They will just be remembered as a team that choked away the Division and the playoffs the last month of the season.

You get what you deserve in Baseball. The Sox still have a shot to finish this thing but they have no room for error. They have to at least take 2 of 3 in these next 2 series.

This team will be in 2nd place when they start the series in Cleveland. Maybe they will play better being the hunter and not the hunted.

It seems like the Sox are without a hit through 5 almost every game now. They aren't even facing good pitching.

This team is so feeling the pressure no matter how much they say they aren't.

Sox heed to start hitting the ball tonight. The Pirates have the bats to scare you. I feel like the Sox are feeling the pressure of this race. Listen there isn't any backing in to a Division Championship in baseball. You got to earn it over 162.

The Guardians have 4 with the Tigers who have for the most part quit on the season.

Winning this Division is going to come down to which team sucks the least.

Murakami needs to sit for a couple days. Castillo is washed. Give Sandlin his spot. We can't throw these games away. Your playing for a Division with 22 games left. Every game now is a must win. I don't want to see Castillo again this season.

Really need Davis to step up tonight and give at least 5 strong innings. Every game now has to played and managed as if it is a must win. It would also help if the stinking Tigers could win some of these next 8 against they have against the Twinkies and the Guardians.

The friggin Tigers look like they have quit on the season just when their next 9 games are 5 with the Twins and 4 with the Guardians.

Something has to happen to jump start this team and get them out of this funk. They have come to far to f this up here at the end. We can not have the damn Guardians steal this. I would not handle that well.

Just feels like the team is running out of gas here down the stretch. It should be the opposite with them being in a pennant race and all.

As bad as the bats have been in this series i will take the 2 out of 3. That being said they need to start hitting the ball against the Astros.

It will be interesting to see what they do on the 1st. Will they bring up a position player or will it be all pitchers added. I think Sandlin will be up for sure.

Just win baby! Were down to the last 27 games and I don't care how it's done or how it looks. I don't care that the whole team, minus Benny, looked like crap at the plate yesterday. All that matters is that it was a W. They have to manage and play every game left as if it is a game 7 win or go home. This is so great to have the Sox playing meaningful games in September. Hopefully the fans will come out in droves to the last 13 at home and help push this team over the finish line.
