The remarkable thing has been that he hasn't had the blow up inning that happened too often in the minors. Outside of the 2nd inning of his debut, he's really kept the walks to a minimum.

Im not sure it would. If that game gets pushed to tomorrow with a double header it probably helps the Sox. Its really hard to win both games of a double header.

I’m sure they were going to use him for 2 either way but I’m guessing because the game was at 2 runs there you bring him in in the 7th instead of the 8th.

Grant is going to go two. They are going to have him go 7,8,9 and then 1,2,3 in the 8th. They hope to add on in the meantime.

Ya but you could also tell his hamstring was bothering him. That ball he tried to stretch into a double looked like he had a piano on his back. He also had some weird reactions swinging that you could tell it was more than his wrist bothering him. His wrist they said has been bothering him for a majority of the season so I’m not overly concerned with that.

I am a huge Mason Adams fan but having a guy make his MLB debut in the middle of a pennant race coming off Tommy John is nothing like pitching for the Rockies. I think Mason Adams is going to be a big league pitcher because he gets guys out. I am glad that they have Doyle and if he was the cost I’m fine with that. Being able to play Peters and Doyle for defense is much better than Ant or Grichuk. I think that is worth more than Mason going once every 5 days.

Doyle has helped them win games this year. They are incredibly lucky they had him when Peter’s went down. If he had been seriously injured, they would have no true CFer on the roster and you’re probably looking at Acuna out there.
