  1. So hey, when do you start pitching around this guy?
  2. QUOTE (SoCalSouthSider59 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 04:27 PM) Is that who that is? I thought it was either Father Time or the Grim Reaper.
  3. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 04:22 PM) If we don't get to this guy soon I will lose it. So will the Sox. "It" being the game.
  4. Hey, don't blame Steve. Any way he wants it, that's the way he needs it.....
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 12:49 PM) I guess David can beat King Kong about once every century. Man, what an upset. This is on par with the Miracle On Ice, seeing how Kimbo is the man and everything. It sucks that's he'll always have a blemish on his resume, but hey, it won't look so bad after he's about 50-1 while racking up every title in his sight. This post didn't need the green text - my eyes turned green reading it!
  6. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 11:52 AM) You should change it so one of the options includes people who are 25. I was so confused what box to check! haha If you are 25, you can no longer be UNDER 25. You can only be over 25. 25 years and one day is over 25.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 10:49 AM) He has given the Cubs 2 playoff appearances in 2 years. For that franchise...that's not that bad. I would argue that those 2 playoff appearances did more damage to Cubs fans' hopes than missing the playoffs would have. I know more Cubs fans who doubt their ability to ever win the World Series now than I did 2 years ago. To go in to two straight NLDS's and get smoked, looking horrible in the process, has soured many Cubs fans. Not the dopey, drunken, baseball-retarded bleacher creatures, though - they'll always be there, they'll always be drunk, and they'll always be oblivious.
  8. QUOTE (MAX @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 09:12 AM) Its a good thing ozzie isn't as cowardly as this forum. No one would ever pitch but mark and john. Come on.....Gavin would pitch once in a while, and Bobby would get 3-inning saves.
  9. It would be SO nice to see CQ in a starting lineup again this year.
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 09:26 AM) I'm assuming the Black Out™ continues? Maybe silver towels for the BLACKout today?
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 12:21 AM) Would be nice to see the lefty veterans do some damage. We need Jimmy to crush 3 homers; Griffey two; AJ one. I can dream. I don't care if it takes homers from Javy Vazquez and Hawk Harrelson, they gotta get this series back to the Tropidump. Cuz I gotta have more cowbell......barf.....
  12. I bet he does a great impression of someone never being seen or heard from again. I hope he does that impression very, very soon.
  13. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 04:13 PM) that bird wants to see us lose. I disagree - the bird is wearing black.
  14. Penguins getting chippy, down 3-0 with 2 minutes left. HOCKEY IS BACK, THANK GOD!!!
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 03:36 PM) Do you think white towels can bother outfielders? Or is it no big deal on fly balls? A "blackout" with white towels is pretty funny to me.
  16. That is funny. Of course, I hate that song almost as much as I hate Santo, so I'd probably enjoy almost any spoof of it.
  17. QUOTE (SAVVY18 @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 01:34 AM) If we get swept out, I hope to god that Sox fan's don't call in and sound like these morons. It's really pathetic. So far they have turned on "Fonzie", Lou, The entire team, blamed the schedule, blamed inter-league play, Curses...what's next. The weather? Day baseball? Sox fans have been calling the postgame show sounding like morons all year - why would it change now? The phone screeners WANT the morons to get on air - more people want to hear howling asscracks than reasoned, logical fans. I guarantee if the Sox lose today, the callers to the postgame show will sound very much like the dopes who called to rail against the Cubs.
  18. Sounds like someone nearly got "crossed" up....
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 4, 2008 -> 12:03 AM) K-Rod + non-save situation=disaster. The curse lives. I always enjoy watching Ball Park Frank fail.
  20. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 06:25 PM) This had an amazingly short shelf life.
  21. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 09:39 AM) I wonder if Cub fans still think its their year??? They never specify what "IT" is when they say "IT'S GONNA HAPPEN!" IT could be another playoff disappointment IT could be another first-round sweep IT could be a massive hangover after a night of misery drinking

    OJ Guilty!!!

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/10/04/...tr=U.S._4501325 Simpson and co-defendant were convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping at gunpoint in a Las Vegas hotel room. Sentencing is scheduled for December 5th. Both could face life in prison. Somewhere Fred Goldman is dancing, yet still upset that he'll never get his money.
