  1. QUOTE(Hawkfan @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 09:32 PM) Soxtalk is the best forum in the MLB. I truly appreciate whoever runs this site, it provides tons of information and it is professionally done. However, If the powers that be could allow the F word that would be great, thanks. Why the f*** do you feel the f***ing need to drop the f***ing F-bomb, ya f***???
  2. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) It happens to most bands. How could ANYONE top Master of Puppets? I never even expected them to top Ride The Lightning, but I also never expected Nothing Else Matters, either of the Loads or St. Anger, among many other things I didn't like. Mis-steps are one thing, a LONG series of sub-par junk is quite another. Bad, Bad, Bad.
  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 08:26 AM) I thought Carlito was even better with his "wig". I have no idea how he kept that on his head though I know!! Maybe Hornswoggle hid in Carlito's hair and held the wig in place!
  4. "Ah luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv thuh Juice!" No wonder they named Hawk GM soon after...
  5. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 08:08 AM) I stopped watching pretty much at the same time, but I am kind of mad i missed the cage match Bob Holly came pretty damn close to being entertaining last night - he fell just short of it, but he came closer than he ever has for me.
  6. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 03:02 AM) I still listen to their old CDs Critic. I'm not into alot of these newer bands these days. But I know what your saying. They're still awesome though. Oh yea, Lupe Fiasco is the s***. That is all. I hear ya - I still have a lot of pre-Black Album Metallica on the iPod, and when the shuffle hits it, I like to hear that stuff again. I don't go seeking it out, though. You couldn't pry their cassettes out of the boombox back in the Mullet Era, but now their CDs have 3 inches of dust on them. I don't know Lupe Fiasco, so I can't say if he (or she, or they) is THE s***, or just s***.
  7. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) Someone recap Raw for me please. I turned it off around 9:15 or so, but here's a recap from Lords Of Pain for you: http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2008/articles/1199765335.php
  8. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 12:46 AM) it was an acoustic BENEFIt show - get off it. Also, the acoustic version of Disposable Heroes rules. I disagree about any of it "ruling", but it's nice that they played for charity. In my opinion, no band has fallen further from their height than Metallica, with the possible exception of the Goo Goo Dolls and Aerosmith. Not in terms of popularity or sales, but in terms of my enjoyment of what they do. Metallica was my favorite band by a long shot (bad pun intended ), but that seems like forever ago now.
  9. QUOTE(heirdog @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) Like the 3 or 4 guys before me, I will display by on-line gratitude to you Mr. Critic for providing such comic relief and totally diluting Steve9347's thoughtful message. Critic, is there a way you can work in "Steve9347" into the chorus portion...would be fun with the rambling of numbers and all. Steve9347 if you have had a life-changing event occur as a result of reading this board, I apologize in advance but it was just so funny. How about: You may be Steve #9347, but to US, you'll always be Steve Number One [i'm not good with numbers!] Insert that where you want. No, not THERE.....pervert.... I also do want to add that I didn't mean to water down Steve's original intent - this place is one of the first places I stop when I hit the Net every day, and I too am very grateful for the time, money and energy spent on this site!
  10. [REAL MEN OF GEEEEEENIUUUUUUS!] Here's to YOU, Mr. Sensitive Online Gratitude Displayer [Mr. Sensitive Online Gratitude Displaaaaaaayer] When you feel like sharing your innermost thoughts, you go to just the right place - an anonymous message board! [Nobody knows yooooou] Posting a gushy "thank you" message in the Pale Hose Talk section just shows that YOU MEAN IT, MAAAAN! [Why not Sex, Lies and Music???] So here's to you, Internet Man-Hugger - your buddies would give you grief for this....if anyone knew who you really were.... [Mr. Sensitive Online Gratitude Displaaaaaaaaayyyyyerrrrrrrrrrrrr] [Anheuser Busch - why, it's just fine, thanks for asking!]
  11. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 10:15 AM) oh, right OH YEAH, THAT GUY!!
  12. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 05:21 AM) A good interview of Randy Orton who?
  13. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 6, 2008 -> 04:29 PM) Yeah, I read that earlier. Feel bad for him. I think he has talents. Without him, Right to Censor never would of gotten over. Oh yea, and his stuff around 94-97 in the bingo hall was pretty good. Baron Von Stevie!!! He was the key to the bWo. His Raven's Flunky stuff was great. RTC was all him.
  14. Wow, I had no idea Stevie Richards was going through all this: http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/superstars/jo...tyles/122807mep
  15. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 4, 2008 -> 11:24 PM) Hawks fall. While I am still very excited, the skybox I have for Sunday is getting me a lot less giddy. Detroit is going to run all over these guys.... Yeah, while the Hawks have had some fun with Detroit so far this year, this isn't the same Hawk team right now, and I expect the Wings to be really fired up for Sunday. It should still be a fun game - this rivalry usually brings the best out of both teams.
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 4, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) It really isn't there fault, but this team has probably been the biggest cock tease I have experienced. For a few weeks there, it seemed like the collective team was walking on water, and could do no wrong. How things have changed. The injuries have really f***ed this team over, but a road win would be really nice right about now. I'm trying to keep things in perspective, but these losses have really sucked.
  17. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 4, 2008 -> 12:44 PM) Im afraid that next time we see lex Luger he is going to be unrecognizable The Empty Package?
  18. Some hopeful news regarding Lex Luger's paralysis: source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter -- Lex Luger is currently staying at the Spinal Rehabilitation Center in Marietta, Georgia. He is still paralyzed in both arms and both legs, but has begun to get feeling back in all four extremities. The official diagnosis was that he suffered a spinal stroke. He collapsed in a hotel room on Friday, October 19 when he was in San Francisco for a wrestling convention. Luger spent several weeks at Stamford Hospital before being flown back to Georgia.
  19. This set would have been more effective at Guantanamo Bay. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080104/ap_en_...eople_dane_cook
  20. QUOTE(Wanne @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 01:58 PM) Well...it'll be another draft by Kenny taking 98% pitching. And then trading 98% of the pitchers he drafts. I don't know if I like the trade or not. Thins out the minors even more, Swisher seems at first glance to be more of the same type of player the Sox already have, probably doesn't address CF, definitely doesn't address leadoff.
  21. duuuuuuuuh-dun..........................................duuuuuuuuuuuh-dun........................duuuh-dun........duuuh-dun.......duhdun duhdun duhdunduhdun....
  22. Hindsight being the wonderful thing it is, wouldn't it have been nice to make some sort of deal with Anaheim when Bryzgalov was on the verge of being waived? Khabi really hasn't done anything since coming here to sway me from thinking he was more the beneficiary of Tampa's success than the cause.
  23. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 08:48 AM) I dont know, I just looked on the map of Canada and picked the southern-most territory But now that I think about it, it would probably be Quebec considering that they continue to try and secede from Canada I picked Alberta because of the connection to oil production and cattle rustlin'. Seemed like a good enough fit, and I like the sound of Alberta Hold 'Em. (although it kind of sounds like a shampoo commercial, now that I think too much about it....)
  24. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 07:42 AM) Those snooty Canadians call it Ontario Hold-em, thats why you cannot find it Wouldn't Alberta be their version of Texas?
