  1. QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 04:44 PM) I laughed, and didn't feel guilty. Black humor at its finest.
  2. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 09:23 AM) Yeah I would say that Sox fans have turned more into Yankees fans with their entitlement thing they have going on since 05. I dunno, I think Red Sox fans have gone from being Cub fans to being Yankee fans.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 07:44 AM) I think other details are rookie and light skined african-american Other details include horrible taste in women and likely vision problems.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 12:36 AM) I've concluded that Patrick Sharp is my favorite player. That means nothing but I figured I'd let everybody know anyways. I love the way Sharp plays. He hustles like a madman.
  5. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 06:45 PM) Where's Tina??? Still celebrating.
  6. Wow, Adam Archuleta got one thing right! Bet he never misses coverages at home.
  7. QUOTE(buckweaver @ Dec 13, 2007 -> 07:25 AM) You are all a bunch of ingrates. The guy puts together the only Chicago baseball world championship in our lifetimes, goes after marquee names and is consistently putting a competitive product on the field. He's done so every year in his tenure. You don't think he's anguishing over the fact that his top moves got thwarted? And why did that happen...because every other general manager of a major league team is working his ass off to better his team, too. You want the days of Ron Scheuler, who was too afraid to make a move without someone wiping his ass? You want Larry Himes back? You want the times when, maybe, we rented a decent player or two for a season but couldn't afford to keep them? You wonder why the Chicago White Sox are considered a small market team playing in one of the three largest cities in the country...it's because of THAT crappy history of GMs. Kenny Williams is responsible for moving this organization into the league to compete with the big boys. I'd rather be a fan of a team that swings and misses than one who never steps to the plate. So why don't all you constant complainers move across the city...you'll fit right in. You win, you get the credit. You lose, you get the blame. That's how it goes. If a team goes from World Series Champions to 90-game losers in two years, people are not going to be happy about it. "Swing and a miss" or "not stepping up", if the result is a bad team, what's the difference in the long run? And FWIW, the Cub fan stereotype is that they NEVER complain, they just go to the Friendly Confines, drink beer, ogle women and cheer for anyone in Cubbie Blue. The Sox fans are known as the ones who complain and stay away when the team is bad. Just thought you might want to get the stereotypes right when you feel like throwing them around.
  8. QUOTE(iamshack @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 09:35 AM) Levine just stated that the Rangers made the best offer at over $50 million, while the Sox and Cubs both came in at 4/$48 million. Apparently, Fukudome wanted to play RF. Out of respect for Jermaine Dye, he did not want to cause Jermaine to play a different position on account of him. Basically, it sounds as if he did not want to play CF for us. Another factor was that he wanted to be the first Japanese player to play for the Cubs. Thus, he requested uniform #1. At this point, it probably would have benefitted JD to move to left field.
  9. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Dec 12, 2007 -> 01:10 AM) Someone needs to find the Japanese representation for 1908 for the new cubs suck shirts this year. How about these? 100年間の無益 100 Years Of Futility この場所は尿のように臭いがする This Place Smells Like Urine そのホームレスの人はなぜ私達のユニフォームを身に着けているか。 Why Is That Homeless Man Wearing Our Uniform? 廃物との私に当ってはいけない Please Don't Hit Me With Garbage 来年まで待ちなさい Wait Til Next Year
  10. QUOTE(Shadows @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 11:09 PM) Man that was the best Raw I have ever seen I don't know if I'd agree with the "ever" part, but it was by far the most entertaining Raw I've seen in a LONG LONG time. Almost every segment worked and even the corny stuff was better than it has been in ages. WWE seems to do retrospectives and "best of" shows very well as a rule. That's why their DVDs are usually really good.
  11. Loved Regal with the Coca-Cola during the "beer bash" afterwards. Pinky out, of course.....he's British, after all...
  12. Vince named himself the greatest superstar in Raw history, and then Foley Socko'ed him, Taker chokeslammed him, and Austin came in, cut a pretty amusing promo, then stunned him....and beers flew everywhere.
  13. My prediction: Vince names himself the greatest superstar in Raw history. Austin stuns him, and beers fly everywhere.
  14. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 08:55 PM) Best Raw ever! DiBiase wins!! Ted pays off IRS to jump over the top rope after Schyster had won the battle royal! Nice!!!
  15. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 07:48 PM) I remember watching when Sable first came around and thought she was so sexy and now I look back and she isn't all that. ...it was a simpler time...
  16. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 07:39 PM) They're really making Carlito look a lot stronger though despite the loss. Perhaps Hardy should just paint a door onto the wall and have Carlito run into it. Or hang the belt off the edge of a cliff and have Carlito run out there, then Hardy tells him to look down, and Carlito plummets toward the ground. He then opens an umbrella to break his fall, to no avail.
  17. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 07:19 PM) When the ho's came out... JR: Even Patterson's smiling. Wow, what a backhanded comment about Patterson's sexuality, haha. Yep, that and HHH saying "no surprise there" when he introduced Patterson as one of the guys Vince tried to "slip the sheleighlie to". This show's off to a decent start - I can't see Carlito winning a ladder match against a Hardy, though.
  18. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 10, 2007 -> 07:15 PM) Abe Knuckleball Swartz...LOL "I guess the Brooklyn Brawler was busy" - HA!
  19. I hope like hell that Kenny and Ozzie are right about them. My own opinion is Danks would make a good #5 and Floyd didn't show much of anything. Seems like they're hitching their wagons to these guys, so I hope they surprise me. I'm not counting on it.
  20. I just flipped over to Comedy Central and I see they're having a roast of Santa Claus. Hosted by Larry The Cable Guy, and the first roaster is Vicki Lawrence as "Momma" from that stupid-ass TV show. I saw some nobody comic dressed as the Easter Bunny. I couldn't hit the remote fast enough. I'll be avoiding Comedy Central for a few hours. Awful.
  21. QUOTE(shipps @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 08:08 AM) Had the company Christmas party last night.Oh how people can make asses of themselves.It was too funny,and they should already know going into it that if you do or say something stupid it will stick with you for a long time.Why do people continue to make that mistake every year? Alcohol = truth serum. Next day = regret.
  22. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Dec 8, 2007 -> 01:20 AM) I'll suggest this idea in our next team meeting.
  23. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 7, 2007 -> 05:01 PM) I have two of those Ihome's they rock. Just make sure you put the proper IPOD holder in the cradle or it may break the connection. Yeah, we have one in the house. I want one of those smaller ones to keep at work so I can play the Pod when I work on Sunday nights. By the time I'm done on Sundays, the thing's battery is all but drained.
