  1. Lemme tell ya somethin', Linda - WHATCHA GONNA DO when Eric Bischoff hides our assets from YOOOOOU???? http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2008/articles/1201287719.php
  2. QUOTE(BearSox @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 03:17 PM) It still baffles me why we gave a fat lazy bum who can't hit his weight, 4.5 million dollars. Because they waited too long to acquire a shortstop and had to sign him because there's no capable SS in the minors.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 06:29 PM) I am assuming they want to see them get some action during the All Star Break. Skille will probably be recalled on Monday. The AHL All-Star Game is this weekend, too (Sunday and Monday), but I hope Skille gets recalled soon.
  4. QUOTE(Scwible @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 05:23 PM) Hawks Assign Skille, Dowell, Hendry http://blackhawks.nhl.com/team/app/?servic...rticleid=351259 Hmm. I thought Skille looked like he was adjusting to the NHL pretty well.
  5. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 05:46 PM) Like him or hate him, Mike North brings in millions of dollars to the Score and won't leave anytime soon because of that. I understand that - he's not going away, so I do.
  6. QUOTE(supernuke @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 01:02 PM) And yet he is still so much better than everybody else. He is excellent, especially when you consider his age and injury history. He still does a lot of stuff I know I wouldn't do after a series of back problems. But his face IS quite creasy, and HD points that out. That's all I'm sayin'.
  7. QUOTE(shipps @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 03:58 PM) Speaking of radio. This past week I have been harrassing Mike North via text msg.Very juvenile and wierd but he has gotten on my nerves to the third degree. Avoiding Mike North is a wonderful thing. Sometimes I feel like I want to email the PD at the Score to let him know that every single time I hear Mike North's voice, be it a commercial, a quick promo for his show, or (God forbid) his show when I wake up after leaving the radio on during a Hawks or Sox game, I change the station immediately. But then the feeling passes and I just go on ignoring him.
  8. B&E tearin' s*** UP!! http://www.whoneedstelevision.com/?video_id=15900 :headbang and some more B&E, but NSFW! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z93Kvl3YMWQ
  9. Listening now to Cheap Trick's 4th of July show in Chicago from 1999. LOVE me some Cheap Trick. So solid.
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 24, 2008 -> 06:44 PM) More and more I am starting to agree with this, and Savvy seems to like Buff at wing, so when penciling in the future roles for players on this team, I think the money is Buff being at wing. However, a lot will come down to the devolpment of Barker. I agree - if Tallon acquires a solid D-man and Barker develops, Buff's future would appear to be on the wing. Which would suit me fine. Oh, and if anyone happens to find Tuomo Ruutu's scoring touch, could you please return it to him? Thanks.
  11. The 1971 Stanley Cup Finals broke an 8-year-old's heart. http://proicehockey.about.com/od/history/f...Stanley_Cup.htm The 1973 Stanley Cup Finals reopened the wound and threw some dirt in it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1973_Stanley_Cup_Finals (Look at the scores of those games!) The 1992 Stanley Cup Finals reminded me that it hurts almost as bad when you're 29 as when you're 8 or 10. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992_Stanley_Cup_Finals (Game One was as bad a spirit-breaker as I've ever experienced as a fan) Watching them get to the Finals in 1992 was as much fun as I've ever had as a fan - I had season tickets that year along with a few buddies, and the playoff games I didn't see at the Stadium we watched at jam-packed bars. Good, good times until those God-damned Penguins ruined all the fun and won the Cup at the Stadium just to rub it in.
  12. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 24, 2008 -> 06:15 PM) Unless they wanted to keep using Buff at wing. In which hopefully not. I don't know, the more I see Buff on D, the more I think I want him on the wing. He's had some bad games back there lately, I think.
  13. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 24, 2008 -> 02:26 PM) Exactly, the only reason I had fun was the kids. Nope, the kids had very little to do with my overall enjoyment. I would go without kids in a second. I'm glad you "ratted" yourself out, so I didn't have to. GET IT??? RATTED???? WHAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!! :lolhitting
  14. Major cities for me. I can be bored at home, I don't want to pay to be bored.
  15. Chicago Phoenix that is all.
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 23, 2008 -> 01:52 PM) Not enough personality? Went from a HOSS to a pony. How DOES that happen??? He's said to be training for a possible MMA career.
  17. QUOTE(rowand's rowdies @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 10:50 AM) no way. not that my suggestion of weaver is any better, but I can't stand Freddy allowing singles to become doubles with his slow time to the plate. most people on this board could steal off of him. This was me watching the game with my wife during every Freddy start in 2006: "Okay, watch what he does.....ONE look to first.....sloooooooooow leg-lift and delivery!" "I swear to God, I can't steal on ANY major-league pitcher, but I could steal on Freddy Garcia EVERY TIME!!!" "LOOK, here we go again!!! ONE LOOK, LEGLIFT, STOLEN BASE!!!" And this was her reaction: No wait, that wasn't it.....oh yeah, THIS was her reaction: then "No, you STILL couldn't steal on him." then about the horrible life decision she made almost 16 years ago.
  18. Game's going to shootout. Washington survived a 1-minute-plus two-man disadvantage in OT, their defensemen were throwing themselves in front of every point shot. Excellent game!
  19. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 09:25 PM) I am at work, but I saw the Youtube video of the Ovy-Malkin hit. I really wanted to see them go at it..... They've been at each other all night, finishing checks and shoving each other around. This is the kind of hockey I love - wide-open play, not much goonery. Talented players showcasing their skill.
  20. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) Ditto. Still iffy on the starting pitching, but this team could actually could surprise a lot of people. They need to make at least one significant addition to the rotation before I get excited about the 2008 Sox. The bullpen seems to have been addressed well - better than last off-season, anyway. The offense should be better than OK with the addition of Cabrera and Swisher, although the leadoff spot is still a concern. But without AT LEAST three reliable starters, I just can't get too pumped up.
  21. Fun game going on between Pittsburgh and Washington. 4-4 after two periods, fast action coast-to-coast. Good stuff!
  22. HD really brings out the creases in Shawn Michaels' face.
