  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 08:50 AM) Its fixed. I was trying to get rid of things that could be running that people didn't use. I had no idea so many people used that feature. I never use that feature, SO GET RID OF IT AGAIN!!!!!
  2. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) For her... for me an intraveinous beer drip Cool, you can get the cheap and nasty Budweiser products for yourself then, since your taste buds won't get violated! (.....no green......Bud sucks.....)
  3. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 09:12 AM) I agree, I actually prefer Widger to Burke I agree. Widger had looked pretty solid when I've seen him.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 10:06 AM) You're meeting us for the tailgate right? We have a Drs appointment at 10, but we are leaving right after that. Getting a fresh liver/bladder combo installed??
  5. KW's not the best GM in baseball, nor the worst. I think he's done a nice job of reshaping the team with the budget he's been given. I think he's aggressive and emotional, and that can sometimes work against him.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 07:54 AM) We'll see you all in Milwaukee Friday nite though. Hell yes! You know where you're sitting yet? I know you're Suite Boy, but do you know WHICH suite, or what part of the park? My family's in the cheapies out in RF and the Kid I like to call Gleason is a few rows behind us with his family. I'll bend the elbow a little bit but I gotta drive home after the game, so I won't be doing TOO much imbibery. PM me if you don't want to mention it here...
  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) The very initial long term forcasts are actually predicting a warm up starting towards the middle to end of next week. My fingers are crossed. I got mine crossed for you guys too. Opening Day is a lot of fun if the weather cooperates, and of course even better if the Sox win!
  8. I considered going, but Opening Day weather has been SO s***ty the past few years that I talked myself out of it, and onto the sofa-recliner. I hope for your sake that the weather's nice this year, but I'll be enjoying the action from the best seat in my house.
  9. Crede's looked like s***. It's to the point where I'm legitimately surprised when he gets a hit. He looks like a late-inning defensive replacement to me right now.
  10. QUOTE(AirScott @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) he's always been that way, Baker's a fool if he doesn't have Hairston hit leadoff. Baker's an imbecile. He has apparently made some kind of promise to Hollandsworth that he's gonna be the primary left-fielder. Hairston is the better option, in my opinion. He's the ONLY leadoff hitter they have, and would cause trouble on the bases, which would give Walker and Garciaparra better pitches to hit. But that's OK, let Baker mismanage the position players like he already mismanages the pitchers. One more disappointing season and Toothpick Dude will be s***canned.
  11. Change is hard cuz it's made of metal. Paper money is much softer. You're welcome.
  12. As I've been saying for a LONG time, that is NOT a nice, squeaky clean area. There's a ton of shady-looking people wandering the streets around there late at night. The violence and crime has nothing to do with the Cubs, but the propaganda machine would make you think that area is perfectly safe and family-friendly, and it's just not that way at all.

    Question

Yeah, IMO 7 is too young to be making medical decisions for yourself. The parents need to put the foot down.
  14. I read that Loaiza is having a pretty decent spring for the Nationals. Something like a 2.50 ERA, and like 9 Ks in 14 innings. I hope he has a good year for them.
  15. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) They're racist and don't want a black man with the HR record The thing is, I'd be willing to bet that there ARE a certain number of sports media people who think that way, just because there's a certain percentage of PEOPLE who think that way and it would be naive to think that none of them are media people. But to throw a blanket over the entire profession like that is asinine, and unfortunately "asinine" describes a LARGE portion of what comes out of Bonds' mouth. It's always funny to me how no one minds the "media" when their asses are getting kissed, but as soon as the smooching stops, they're out to "get" them...
  16. I'm waiting for the "Win or DYE trying" one... 2k5, while 2x4 produce the ads, I'd think that Brooks still had to sign off on the spots, so Brooks is STILL the man!!
  17. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 01:24 PM) I know Steve is boring as lint, but back in the day he and Garry were great. Matthews? Hated him at first, then fell in love with him, and now I have no time for him. I pretty much got REAL tired of his schtick also. Jim got real tiring. Stern? Never liked him. I will take any of those guys though over Mancow ANYtime. One of my buddies knows (knew) Mancow very well, and he confirmed every single suspicion I ever had of Mancow being a complete dick. But, I would LOVE to have a certain Johnny B. back on the airwaves around these parts. Johnny was the best, and his stuff still kills me. You can find some websites with clips on them, including the final broadcasts that lead up to the daparture. Johnny B just got let go by his LA station after just one year. FWIW, CKG management claims not to be interested in signing him.
  18. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 12:55 PM) DERBY DAY..!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....I'm not crazy about those hats.....
  19. ...and that would be punishment, HOW?????
  20. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) Well, he'll find a ton more of the money if he went back with Dahl. I myself would start listening to Dahl again if Garry was back. Those guys were amazing together. I never listened to Conn though, so I am not too sure what that was like. But honestly, hasn't Garry always seemed a little loopy to all of us? I liked Garry much better with Roe, but that's mostly because I never understood the appeal of Steve Dahl. He bores me to tears. That whole CKG lineup is just sorry now, IMHO. I used to like Stern, but it sounds like a rerun now. Same with Matthews, but amplified - I can't tell when a show is live or a "best of" from 10 years ago. And I get seriously angry when my wife leaves the radio tuned to CKG ( she likes Stern ) and I accidentally hear some of the Afternoon Dead Air Festival. If Steve and Garry ever reunited, it may well be lucrative, but it would be SUCH a desperation move by both of them. I wouldn't listen.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) Ugh... :rolly Seriously guys.. if you ever have a problem with something I post please call me on it so I can explain. and just what is THAT supposed to mean?????
  22. BEWARE THE ROLLING EYYYYYYESSSS!!!!!!
  23. Interesting how Meier fought every attempt by Conn to protect him from himself. That contract was insane money for a second banana. He may find another job, but I doubt he'll find anywhere near that much money.
  24. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Take the lower deck seats, then you can go anywhere in the park you'd like. You can even go up to those UD seats and sit there if you find that you like them better. At least this way, you're not confined to anything. Good idea, but I'd add that it depends on how you prefer to spend the time. If you'd prefer to just sit and watch the game, the UD might be the way to go. If you want to experience all the park has to offer, the LD is the choice. Either way, a day or night at the ballpark beats almost any other way to spend a summer day. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 21, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) All kidding aside, you'll never do anything that means as much or is as important to you. Being a father a is wonderful thing. Just be sure you have your priorities straight. Absolutely correct! and 2K5, learn this phrase....know it....LIVE it..... "It's not about ME anymore"
