  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 07:36 PM) Samoa Joe done with TNA. Sources think Brock stays with WWE. If so, he should keep the belt at mania. Interested to see where Joe goes next. Most rumors say ROH, but I wonder if Japan is a possibility. I hope Lesnar stays, he's been great even in the limited role (or maybe because of it). I'd love to see a squash of Reigns and a squash of a cash-in attempt by Rollins.
  2. QUOTE (shipps @ Feb 6, 2015 -> 10:33 PM) So I have now watched Frozen for the 289th time. Decent movie I suppose but I was satisfied after the second time for sure. Good lord I wish my kids would pick a new movie. Words cannot describe how happy I was that my daughter was fixated on Spongebob and Toy Story. You can do so much worse.
  3. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 28, 2015 -> 08:14 PM) Surely I can't be the only one who loves Lucha Underground. You're not. LU is great. The hour just flies by and leaves me wanting more. Wish the announcers were better, though. Vampiro makes Tazz seem like Heenan by comparison.
  4. When I turned 16 the Sox beat the Indians 4-2 in front of 7,787 rabid fans at Comiskey Park. Greg Pryor went 3 for 3, Chet Lemon and Mike Squires each swiped a base, and Rich Wortham improved his record to 6-4 on the season. He would finish the year at a robust 14-14 with a 4.90 ERA for a Sox team which would finish at 73-87.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 25, 2015 -> 08:23 PM) Well someone screwed up and it wasn't me. Critic pouted, quit, and went to UFC, so those spots are JDs. I did not go to UFC, I went to the Lucha Temple. They call me Critic because I'm not a man, I'm a criticism MACHIIIIIIINE!!!!
  6. Forget it! I'm going to take my talents to the indie event down the street instead!
  7. I was not late, I wasn't going to enter at all! I was TRYING to help you guys out! I saw empty spaces and how would it look to go into the Rumble with three holes in the bracket?
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 25, 2015 -> 08:03 PM) Let's just hope those 3 numbers don't win. Ha The reluctant entrant becomes the NEWWWWWWWWWW Soxtalk Heavyweight Champion of the WORRRRRRLLLLLLLLLD!!!!! (I will dump the IC title in the trash and turn heel to take the HW gold!)
  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 25, 2015 -> 07:14 PM) Apparently hockey is very boring when nobody plays defense 29 goals, 0 s***s given.

  11. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 14, 2015 -> 04:06 PM) But do you? I love it, and am intrigued to see where it goes. Yes. I change the channel when the "Power Couple" are on. I flip back to look for Paul Heyman and hopefully something else makes me stay tuned. I'd have to go back to the early 90's to remember a time when WWE was this bad. I don't even bother recording Raw or watching Smackdown at all. I watch more TNA than I do WWE these days, and thankfully Lucha Underground has hooked me.
  12. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 13, 2015 -> 11:22 PM) Then it's working. People are supposed to hate them. Is it supposed to make me see what else is on TV? Then it's working. They are Vickie Guerrero and Jeff Jarrett to me right now. I can't reach for the remote fast enough when H and Steph come onscreen.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 7, 2015 -> 09:09 PM) Impact starts with a brawl. Fans start swearing, TV silences the curse words, making it hard to hear what MVP was saying. The risk of live TV. I'm sure this is at least part of TNA's reasoning for taping shows. (The real reason being expenses)
  14. I tried to watch the first hour of Raw. I hate that I have to force myself to stick with it to get through the first hour. It's so bad. On the plus side, I did watch that Lucha Underground recap marathon on El Rey on New Year's Eve, and I enjoyed a lot of it. I'm ready for Season Two. I'm interested to see what TNA does differently on DA, but the early indications are not encouraging. They're going "more reality-based"? Including showing wrestlers "out of character"?? That is not what I watch wrestling for. I want interesting characters and storylines, with just a smattering of "reality", if any at all. For the most part, I'm happy with the people they re-signed, but the fact that they're doing their live debut on a different night than they're regularly going to air the show is a sign that they still don't get it. DON'T confuse the audience! You've lost too many of them with the move away from Spike, don't f*** around with the ones who cared enough to look for you!!!
  15. My wife got me a Pick 7 plan for Christmas. Just one seat, but I like going to games alone. She picked six Sundays (one vs. the Cubs) and one of the Cardinals games, all Upper Reserved on the first base side. Perfect. She knows what I like!
  16. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 02:30 PM) Did you go?!? ....something happened....
  17. I had tickets to Game 3 of the World Series......at Busch Stadium.
  18. I see no problem with this. The guy used his notoriety to access something he's wanted to do for a while, the UFC gets some publicity (not that they need it), he's not costing anyone "their spot" as White has already said that he'll be matched with someone with few, if any, prior fights, and Punk understands that he's going to take punishment. Good for Punk to do what he wants.
  19. He seems like he could be an easy guy to hate, but I like him. He seems like that dickish friend that "you just gotta get to know" to appreciate. I'm still kind of glad he left, though, because his unhappiness was really showing in his work. Some people just reach their breaking point and they're done. He seems more than content to be out of it.
  20. Packers game at Lambeau. Arsenal match at the Emirates.
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 30, 2014 -> 09:19 PM) The talent gap is obvious but a lot of the play-calling just made me cry too, after the crap we have seen from Trestman this year. Loved the way Green Bay used Cobb out of the backfield. I was waiting for them to do that with Nelson, too, since he was being blanketed all game. I thought that might have given him some room to move and do some different things. I was glad they held on (that second half felt like a loss waiting to happen) and I LOVED watching the endless stream of F-bombs coming out of Brady.
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 24, 2014 -> 07:47 AM) Really? Big show surprised you? He always swerves Seriously, all Show does anymore is cry and turn. In other old man news.... - Roddy Piper wrote on Twitter that he would like to team with Sting to face Hulk Hogan and a partner in WWE. Piper said he could be ready for the match in 7 weeks. Piper has also been talking about wrestling one last match in 2015, with his son Colt Toombs, who has done MMA and is working the indies now Read more at http://www.lordsofpain.net
  23. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 17, 2014 -> 08:45 PM) Dumb. Poor Dolph, It makes no sense for him to be on team Cena. He;s forced to defend the IC belt. The entire Authority is at ringside. Nobody comes and has his back and he loses. Who writes this crap? Critic? I didn't write this junk! I LIKE wrestling, I don't want to kill it. The sad thing is, anyone who likes wrestling and has watched for any length of time can write better storylines than WWE "creative" has been with no trouble at all. My favorite podcast, Smart Wrestling Fan, writes hilarious stories on the fly every week. I wish they were writing for WWE, they would make it the best show on TV.
  24. QUOTE (scs787 @ Nov 12, 2014 -> 08:29 PM) I'm not sure what the could have done differently. They can start by not inserting Cena into every storyline involving someone who's starting to get over. (See Ryder, Ryback, Wyatt, Nexus, Bryan, Ambrose and on and on and on - waiting for Cena to be inserted into a Rusev storyline, if it hasn't happened already by now)
