  1. QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jun 14, 2016 -> 02:20 PM) Seems like a risky market (in the south), but best of luck to them This will be the most popular road destination for fans. I would think the Vegas team will be outnumbered as far as fan support almost every game. If I was the NHL, I would schedule as many of the Vegas home games for Thursday, Friday and Saturday as possible. Maybe some Sunday matinees, too, so people can watch the game and then head to the airport to get home.
  2. Enzo and Cass just remind me of the New Age Outlaws, and not in a good way. They have their catchphrases that people like to yell along with, but the other things they say come off really corny and rehearsed to me.
  3. So is this New Day/Enzo & Cass thing on Raw now good and I just don't get it? Because this is pretty horrible to me.
  4. Apparently Billy Pumpkin decided he had too much money, so he figured he would become a minority owner in TNA while allowing Dixie to continue mismanaging the fed. I'll give her this much, she has kept the company barely alive and on some kind of TV way longer than I thought she could. She must be a hell of a salesperson. Too bad she can't hire the correct people to make the company interesting or profitable.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 3, 2016 -> 07:31 AM) Anybody fly out of O'hare the last few weeks? From what I've heard the TSA lines are back to normal for the most part, no more 2 hour lines. I flew out of O'Hare to Vegas on the Thursday before Memorial Day and the TSA lines flew. I think the negative attention caused an over-reaction of service and I benefited from that.
  6. I can finally contribute something to the bowling thread! (sort of...) I am a barely-average bowler. I roll a straight ball, no hook at all. I play for fun and have never been in a league. Since my daughter joined her school's team, I've been going with her on Sunday mornings almost every week for almost two years now. I've gotten better (I would hope I would!) - I started off in the 120's or 130's and I've progressed to the 150-160's on average. Last week the kid went to Six Flags with her Mom, so I went bowling alone. I rolled a 122....and then a 211! I had never cracked 200 before in my life. I sent her a text with a picture of the score, and she replied saying "That's great, Dad....but I've still got you by 4 pins!!" .....kid can't even let me have my moment....
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 7, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) They made The Club look like s*** when they came in. They never should've lost one match to the Usos. They put them in a hole, image wise. Balor is a pretty bad talker as well. AJ needs to go over Cena, otherwise that group continues to be in a hole. WWE booking strikes again. I wonder if they will mix up the usual Cena feud script. It was interesting that Styles addressed it in the promo. The Club shouldn't have lost to anyone for months if WWE really wanted to build them up.
  8. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 6, 2016 -> 09:01 PM) I liked the Styles-Cena stuff a lot(John is so damn good when he wants to be serious) but besides that not too exciting so far. Styles can't cut a promo to save his life. Also, he and Anderson look really small. They need more guys in The Club, they're just not very imposing at all Is Balor a good talker? Who else do they have in NXT who would be a logical fit in their group? Right now, The Club is doing nothing for me.
  9. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ May 22, 2016 -> 05:11 PM) I think he could fit in TNA as a heel. I'm sure they'd love to have him, but I wonder if he'd be interested and what they'd be willing to pay him. They only tape 3 times a year or so, their merch is across-the-board hideous, and rightly or not, they're seen as a dying brand.
  10. Robertson didn't throw one pitch that made it to Avila on the fly after the injury visit. Hope he's okay.
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 22, 2016 -> 04:16 PM) Cody Rhodes released. They were going to let his contract run out so he asked to be released early. Can't blame him, really. He was spinning his wheels there. Not sure where he would fit, though. ROH, maybe? I see him as a "maybe" fit in Japan and for sure not in Lucha Underground.
  12. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ May 12, 2016 -> 12:49 PM) The Replacements up in Minneapolis in 2014 was by far the best reunion show I've ever seen. I know that band reunions can be bad and often times disappoint, but it's hard not to get excited when you first hear about them. They weren't broken up for nearly as long, but my favorite reunion show was when The Darkness got back together in 2011 and toured the US in 2012 to support the "Hot Cakes" album. Their show at Metro in February of 2012 is still one of the best shows I've seen in recent memory. I have zero interest in the Misfits reunion. I'd best slightly more interested in a Misfits reunion with Michale Graves.
  13. Oh, OK, got it. I Googled it and that's what came up. That tweet was awful, and like most Wolfisms, not the least bit humorous.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 10:40 PM) Bruce Wolf, who I didn't even know was still around, is about to be gone for good. I don't listen to his show, but unless there's more to it than this transcript I'm not sure he should be gone. It reads like he was being baited into something by someone who appears to have a longer-standing agenda against him. Again, I don't know anything about either of them beyond the transcript. Maybe something was said prior to this that upset her. http://www.robertfeder.com/2014/11/18/talk...-at-it-on-race/
  15. QUOTE (Tex @ May 2, 2016 -> 09:52 AM) Why Galveston? SS2K loves Glen Campbell. He's going to Wichita next.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2016 -> 11:13 PM) I haven't posted a lot lately, but don't mistake it for me not loving what's going on. I'm just loving how the team has performed so far this April. I think Robin is emerging as a force. Do you realize if the Sox make the playoffs, he's going to be this team's manager for a long long time? I'm still trying to figure out how the Sox are doing this? Personally I think the starting pitching is "that" much better this year. Sale and Q are taking the next step and don't discount Latos. The 4-0 record is huge. And Rodon is showing signs of very-good-ness. What the hell does THIS have to do with attendance????? I haven't been to a game yet this year. I am the problem. Stupid fair-weather me.
  17. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 05:48 AM) It was rather stupid of Miller to bash the very hall that he was being inducted into but I do agree with some of the things he said about the music industry. One thing Miller failed to point out is the DIY part of the music industry today. There's an enormous amount of bands doing their own mixing, recording and self promotions without record labels, thanks to modern technology and the internet. In the end, Miller just came across as a bitter old man. Still love his music regardless. If you're going to b**** about it, don't go. Do like the Sex Pistols did, write an open letter refusing induction.
  18. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 22, 2016 -> 06:18 AM) Reigns in ME at WM is such a mistake this will blow up on VKM. He counted on people buying tickets to Mania just because it's Mania, and he was right to do so. Until people stop attending events and subscribing to the Network, Vince will do what he wants. TV ratings don't mean as much as they used to, so lower Raw ratings are not enough for him to worry about "the WWE Universe"'s approval.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 28, 2016 -> 08:16 AM) I'd like to be in the picture, dammit! Then pony up the $$$, ya cheap bastid!!
  20. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 23, 2016 -> 09:12 AM) So this happened last night.. https://youtu.be/9K_5WW6Rh50 Wonder if anyone has ever seen (or done that if you played) in a game before. If anyone doesn't know, that's Craig Smith of the Predators. He once lifting the puck up and out of play. Seems like that guy has a habit of missing tap ins. I've done that on passes before, but never prevented myself from scoring. Slight whiff on a touch pass, but still get enough of it to hit my own stick. It's not a proud moment....
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 23, 2016 -> 10:33 AM) Listening to the Observer podcast was really interesting this am. Hinted that Shades been back 1 day and there's a power struggle already. The low ratings, inuries, etc may have been a shoot or life intimidating art. Then later it was mentioned there was a good reason hhh wasn't in the opening segment. I'm not sure if it has to do with what I mentioned in the first paragraph ("There's a lot going on there) or if hhh is turning face. Trips definitely acted like a more of a face last night, even regardless of the crowd reaction. I love "life intimidating art", that's perfect for rasslin'!!
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 23, 2016 -> 09:17 AM) Agreed. I like watching the guy's matches but he sucks at every other part of pro wrestling. His promos and acting are just so god awful that I can't get behind him. I don't even like watching his matches because of how much he floats around. To me the Superman punch looks silly from over-use. And for a company who has loved to pat themselves on the back for "listening to the fans", they have been so stubborn about keeping him a babyface. He should have turned heel a long time ago. Aligning him with the Authority once Rollins went down was the move I'd have made if I was in charge. You could have turned either one of them once Rollins came back and maybe Reigns would then have been accepted as a good guy.
  23. The rumor I heard is, if Taker wants to hold off on the HOF Bryan will go in this year.
  24. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 4, 2016 -> 03:07 PM) Going to see Slayer / Testament / Carcass at the Riv. I've never seen Carcass, but I've seen Testament 4 times and Slayer 7 times and they bring it every time. Enjoy!
  25. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 08:32 PM) I think he enjoys putting the new guys over because it gives him flexibility to go away and do fozzy then come back and nobody is tired of him I think he comes back too often, actually. The reaction to him is less every time he returns. I do believe he enjoys putting the other guys over, and he respects the business enough to put his ego aside.
