I'm going to Vegas for 4 days in late May. Staying at Excalibur because it was dirt cheap and I wanted to be nearer to the Strip than I was last time. I don't need a "better" hotel, it's just a bed and a place for my stuff. I stayed at the Westgate last year - it's a very nice hotel, but even with the monorail stopping there, it felt far away from any of the places I wanted to go. I'm going to spend more time at Fremont/downtown this time - I was there for a short time a couple of days last year and it's a very fun area.

Lopez and Kopech Starting Tomorrow 2/28

I'm in no hurry for any of the prospects to be called up. This is not going to be a quick turnaround, so why rush anyone? Obviously if they determine that someone is ready, then yeah, call them up, but no one should be hurried for what is going to be a low-expectation season. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 28, 2017 -> 09:41 AM) Going to FastLane and actually kind of excited. I'm looking forward to Braun vs Reigns. Reports say their house show matches have been good and I thought the last segment last night was good. Miz is so underappreciated. He's been good in almost everything they've asked him to do. He's going to be one of those guys you look back and remember as better than you thought he was at the time. -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Feb 5, 2017 -> 08:49 PM) I see Lucha Underground season 1 and 2 going on Netflix Feb 15. I am going to check it out. Seasons 1 and 2 were a lot of fun. The show is losing steam now in my opinion. -

Yeah, now reported as torn MCL, 6 to 8 weeks. The Twitter stuff must be a way to keep the rivalry going during the rehab. I wonder if HHH shifts to fight anyone else at Mania (Foley, maybe, building off a beef with Steph?) or if they just scrap it for now? -

Joe is taunting Rollins about the injury on Twitter, so it smells like storyline to me. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 06:25 PM) Looks like Ric Flair just signed a new deal to be on the Raw roster for a while so that's cool. No it's not. Flair as an onscreen performer nowadays is a "New York Met Willie Mays" situation. -
QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 12:44 AM) Vegas Golden Knights. Would have preferred Nighthawks, and the logo is a little too LA Kings for me. No one will use the "Golden", they will unofficially be the Vegas Knights.

This is what you get in the Network Era. Imagine the outrage if people were still paying 40-60 bucks or more for pay-per-views and they got a 90-second main event. (I know some people still buy PPV's, but I can't imagine why they would) But now that the PPVs are basically just an add-on to the Network subscription, they mean nothing and are treated as such. If Brock's not leaving WWE, I don't understand what good any of this does. -
I have had such a headache at work through this entire playoff run, but especially yesterday. I work with two of the dumbest Cub fans I've ever encountered, and they have been a non-stop fountain of dumb this whole time. Here are a couple of all-time classics from them: "I wouldn't trade Kerry Wood for Albert Pujols.....Pujols is always hurt!" and "Immigration let Alexei Ramirez come to the US to play for the Sox and not the Cubs because Obama is a Sox fan!" So I was expecting another day of headaches today, but I just found out both of these guys took a vacation day today. I figured these two huge Cubs fans MUST be going to the parade, but when I asked our team lead about it, he said they each gave the same reason - they were "nervous about being on the train with all those people". Awesome! oh, yeah, and congratulations Cubs, I suppose...

QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Nov 2, 2016 -> 01:30 AM) This may sound weird, but does anyone else think that if the Indians were going to lose this game, this is the best way they could have lost? Cubs had to use a few relievers, including Chapman tonight, but because it was a blowout, the Indians didn't use Miller, Shaw, OR Allen. All of those guys could go 2 innings tomorrow if need be. Chapman, while he will still be available, may not be able to go multiple innings again after throwing 62 pitches over the past 3 days. Obviously you don't like the fact that the Cubs got confidence and that their hitters are clicking, but the bullpen situation is shaping up nicely for Cleveland assuming they can get 4 or 5 innings out of Kluber tomorrow and scrape a couple off of Hendricks. Yeah, if you're looking for a silver lining, that would be it. Rested bullpen + Kluber is the Indians' best-case scenario.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 12, 2016 -> 10:03 AM) Paige and Del Rio will do very well on the Indy's I'm sure. I bet Paige is gone from WWE semi soon but I'm also sure she'll be back in a few years when she matures a little bit. Burned bridges are never burned bridges in WWE. Unless you are Chyna (RIP) or Jeff Jarrett. -

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Oct 11, 2016 -> 12:26 PM) I guess we've all been young and misguided, but not sure what her endgame would be. Obviously there's TNA and indys/conventions where I'm assuming she'd do OK, but she's come out and said she needs back surgery. She's much better off getting her downside while she's sidelined, especially since she's already going to miss 1/4 of her pay this year with the two suspensions. She's very young and not thinking clearly. This all started when WWE separated them in the draft. The relationship with Del Rio has been very detrimental to her. She'd better hope she doesn't burn her WWE bridge too badly, unless she doesn't care about wrestling or is okay with wrestling on smaller stages. -

2nd Wellness pop for Paige. 60 days this time. She's on Twitter saying "don't get prescriptions or doctor's notes, not acceptable" and "rules apply based on your status with the company". She's obviously done with the company. -
Went to see Airbourne at Bottom Lounge last night. They were excellent. If AC/DC were kids again they'd be Airbourne. Taking the kid to get some goat tacos tonight and maybe bowling. Going to the Sox game on Sunday - haven't been to a game this year and couldn't pass up 8 dollar seats on StubHub (7 rows off the field).

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 18, 2016 -> 05:11 PM) Eva Marie popped for 30 days suspension today. Well, they sure found a different way to keep her "never wrestling a match" gimmick going. -

Del Rio and Paige both slapped with 30 day wellness violations. I have to wonder if they did this to protest being drafted to separate brands. Take a substance, get a month off together. Seems possible to me. -
I would suggest Documentary Now and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. Also Comedy Bang Bang.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 06:30 PM) I agree take first 10 Smackdown picks they are just the opposite of building new stars. Old and older Maybe they had Gar and Pax make the picks for them, since they're getting younger and more athletic. -

Broken Matt Hardy is the only interesting version of Matt Hardy to ever exist. He's still horrible, but it's as if he has embraced his own awfulness. His facial expressions are insanely great and he couldn't decide which accent to use so he decided to use all of them. The match itself was junk, but it was entertaining junk. I wonder when Jeff Hardy forgot how to jump onto a table. He never hits them clean anymore. I don't know where they go from here, but you'd assume Jeff....oops, I mean BROTHER NEEEEEROOOoooo.... has to eventually triumph. -

I haven't seen the list of applicable events yet. My wife is hoping for Hamilton. I broke it to her gently that Hamilton will NOT be on that list. Her account got 11 free pairs and like 17 codes. I have to try to remember or change my password to check mine. I would think mine would have to be double of hers, I used mine all the time (until I forgot my password, LOL) -

QUOTE (TRU @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 08:40 AM) Jose just showed me a screen cap from reddit.. "Seth became the first person to 1v1 pin Roman Reigns clean in his entire main roster career. Roman has not lost 1v1 clean since 2012 in FCW to Adam Rose." Now THAT's what you call "protected"!
