QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 09:41 PM) From HNIC "The players are saying that there's a lot of trouble going on between Coach Q and Brian Campbell. Q doesn't think Campbell's trustworthy, Campbell thinks he should be playing other times. And the speculation is, if you want Brian Campbell, then if you make an offer to Chicago and it's the right one, you can have him." Please, someone take him. I am quickly becoming more and more agreeable to this idea. I agree with Quenneville - I really hate the mistakes and turnovers in the defensive zone. Someone offer a good power forward or reliable faceoff guy who can score a little, please. -

Today's game was a lot of fun to watch. Crowd was into it, and the Hawks played well. Toews' deflection was beautiful, and Niemi was good despite some pretty obvious jitters early. Byfuglien showed up today, he was into a lot of the physical end of things and leaned into that shot nicely for his goal. The only bad part for me was having to switch to diet cokes after the 1st period because I had to come into work right after the game. -
My wife TOTALLY fell for this story. Thank You!!

Any truth to the rumor that they'll have a lunch buffet and when lunch is over someone in a KW mask will flip the table over? -
Driving home from Milwaukee last night I got to listen to a good amount of "Saturday Night Rock of the 80's" on the Loop. Metallica, Maiden, Scorpions, Quiet Riot, Dio, and many more Golden Oldies! Good times!

QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 1, 2009 -> 08:37 AM) Can someone guess what color the room is that we put psychiatric patients in the ER? Its a color that supposedly has a calming effect. Hot pink with green and yellow stripes? Oh, wait....that's MY room....never mind.

Niemi gets the start today per CSN. I'm going to the game, it'll be interesting to see how he does. -

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 09:34 PM) Toews now officially with the hat trick on a pass from Barker. More hardhats on the ice . 4-3 Penguins lead approx. 18:00 left in 3rd. 1st career hat trick for Toews, goals 23, 24,25 . Amazing that he has 25 goals considering the bad start he got off to. -
anyone going to KW's new restaurant/bar?

I'd LIKE to go, but it's hard to spend a dollar if I only have 50 cents. I would go to Billy Beane's restaurant, though. -
QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 27, 2009 -> 08:47 AM) A Husker Du reunion would be great, but I doubt Bob and Grant could make it through an entire tour without killing each other. Oh, I know. I wonder if their hatred for each other has dimmed at all. When I saw them in (I think) 1987, they were on their last legs as a band. They didn't say one word to each other on stage, and only Bob "spoke" to the crowd at all. He said two words all night - "Hello" after the first song and "thanks" after the last. That said, they were fantastic that night, and I'm really glad I got the chance to see them.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 12:50 PM) You guys should be ashamed of forgetting The Police And Dinosaur Jr. I liked the Police, but wouldn't rank them with my favorites. Had a chance at tickets to see the reunion tour but passed. If Husker Du reunited you couldn't keep me away.

QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 12:26 PM) If there was a chance that you would do that, and I did buy a station, I garauntee you I would be moving into your house until it happened. Well, if that were the case I'd make sure to do it right away, just so when I came to you'd be on your way home already.
-
QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 12:13 PM) Wow! If that would be the outcome, I might have to buy a radio station and hire him just to see that happen!!! Well, unless you were around me at all times you'd probably miss it, because I haven't intentionally listened to Mike North since the first year of the Score's existence. I gave him a shot, heard the absolute worthlessness and never tuned in on purpose again. I only used to be subjected to him when I'd fall asleep with a Sox or Hawks game on and wake up to his hideous show the next morning.
-
QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 12:05 PM) I thought you always said that about North? HA! No, I said North made me want to punch myself in the face until I fell unconscious onto my radio, smashing it to pieces in the process.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 10:37 AM) Critic, I never thought I'd see this from you, but you forgot to use your green font. I mean every word. Brian is the only guy on sportsblab radio who's never made me want to punch my radio, and I'm always glad when I happen across one of his air shifts. I'm definitely a fanboy of his.

QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 08:27 AM) Goddammit I had hoped for so much more out of you! Sid was only in the band for, I think, 8 months. The classic Pistol line-up, the one that recorded the material that mattered, was with Glen Matlock on bass. They were a 4 piece. I get the joke, but I am soooo sick of seeing that smackhead given the credit. Sorry. Best 3 piece: The Stray Cats. Wait......the Pistols had a bass player before Sid???? Of course I was completely joking! Glen was the musician in the band before he was unjustly sacked. But for sake of accuracy, Glen didn't record more than (I think) one song on Never Mind The Bollocks - my HERO Steve Jones played the bass parts on that album.

QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 08:16 AM) *GASP!!!* Did you just say something kind of negative about Adam!?! OH MY GOD!!! What is next??? Tales of Brian Paruque boring you suddenly??? HOW DARE YOU MIS-SPELL THE KING'S NAME!!!!!!! On the radio, Adam is great. On TV he looks completely uncomfortable, and that makes me focus on his discomfort rather than what he's saying. Brian Paruch is simply the best sports talk host in this city. The fact that he doesn't have his own time slot is nothing short of criminal.

QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 26, 2009 -> 03:36 AM) My favorites: Dinosaur Jr. The Police Nirvana SRV and Double Trouble How the hell did Dino slip my mind??? ....freakin' old age....

QUOTE (Cali @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 01:25 PM) I also see he's doing a pilot for CBS, which will unfortunately be UNWATCHABLE, no matter how funny he is. It's a four camera set up and CBS has the worst track record with those. (Except for HIMYM, which while it technically is a four camera, it's really not) I'll give a little credit to Big Bang Theory because I have giggled a lot at random jokes here and there on that show, but all in all it's pretty bad. I think the curse is that it can't be a show FEATURING a big star in the lead. Jay Mohr is a funny mofo, but his show BA-LOWS. The idea of Adam walking into his TV living room with his TV wife and TV kids with a live studio audience makes me cringe... Yep. Adam + radio = gold. Adam + TV = fools' gold.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 24, 2009 -> 09:36 PM) Listened to his podcast today. Never realized he had a lisp. There's a debate whether he has a lisp or if it's a problem with his equipment. Some people claim his mic is "clipping" and that's causing the lisp. Others are saying that he might be doing the show with his teeth-whitening tray in. I don't know why he'd do that, though. I haven't listened yet - I'm saving them for my Sunday night work shift.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 24, 2009 -> 11:32 AM) Woot Woot...job offer received. 24% increase in salary, get to find out about the benefits and potential bonuses shortly. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 24, 2009 -> 05:45 PM) Also, it was weird that they kept referring to them as Mr. Richter and Mr. O'Brien. When I saw that, I thought maybe the story was from the Wall Street Journal. They do the "Mr. _____" thing in their stories. Odd that tvweek.com would have that style.
