  1. [hack comedian] HEY, WHY SHOULD THE STRAIGHT PEOPLE BE THE ONLY ONES SUFFERING?!?!?! [/hack comedian]
  2. I don't think I want the prize inside the box. ...huhhuh huh huhhuh....I said "box"....huhhuh huhhuh huh....
  3. Yeah, but does he have a neck beard? Huh? DOES HE???
  4. QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 30, 2009 -> 01:17 PM) I just tossed a highlighter at a co-worker just joking around, it hit her so she bent over to pick it up and throw it back at me. I saw down her shirt. Totally sweet. At that moment, your company's H.R. department felt a great disturbance in The Force.
  5. Could have been a bounty hunter, or maybe just a nut who likes pretending to be a cop or something. Lots of f***ing wackos running around in the night. Just be glad it wasn't a carjack or worse, I guess.

Just bought my ticket for the showing of the Anvil documentary at Metro on April 22nd. The band will perform after the movie ends as well. Should be fun!
  7. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Mar 28, 2009 -> 11:17 AM) He is the owner of the company or whatever. He's not a spokesperson. Yep. He owns both the ShamWow and SlapChop. He's sold over 3 million ShamWows. I think he can swing a hotel room and a whore.
  8. Jimmy Chamberlain sort of addresses his departure from Smashing Pumpkins: http://jimmychamberlincomplex.com/blog/ Trying to read between the lines, it seems to me he got tired of being a "second fiddle" and/or Billy won't give up the publishing monies. (Hence the "something I don't fully possess" line).
  9. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Mar 27, 2009 -> 05:08 PM) Was just thinking the same thing. Thought the dude was in his 30's from tv. He looks messed up without the magic makeup. The Magic Makeup should be his next product. "Look at my horrific mug. Who wants to see THIS waking up next to ya? Now I smear on some Magic Makeup and watch the years fade away!....doesn't work on the lazy eye, though....."
  10. Dixie Carter replies to Vince: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle2344951.ece
  11. Steel Panther is rockin' my funny bone! So wrong, yet so funny.
  12. It was a decent win, and any 2 points are beautiful at this stage, but they didn't play very well in the 2nd or 3rd periods. How Dave Bolland wasn't one of last night's stars is beyond me. I know Toews had an "accidental" goal and a shootout goal, but the entire Havlat/Ladd/Bolland line were the 3 stars IMO. The Hakws can't afford to look past NJ, but Sunday's game vs Vancouver is huge.
  13. Vince McMahon obviously has no mirrors in his house: http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/1566.html Whether he is concerned with rival promotion TNA Wrestling as competition: "My concern with TNA is not in terms of competition. My concern with TNA is that they are TV-14, and we are PG. They have to change with the times. I think some of the things they do on television are reprehensible, but it is a TV-14 rating. That's the only bone I have to pick with them. Their TV ratings are a fraction of ours." So Randy Orton repeatedly physically assaulting Stephanie is fine, but TNA does "reprehensible" things? Ooooooooookay....

I'm planning a class action suit against Apatow all ready. I dunno, I think it looks pretty solid. It looks like a life-affirming date movie, maybe heartwarming, perhaps charming, but it doesn't look funny.
  15. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 25, 2009 -> 07:37 AM) apparently Flair took 12 staples to the noggin after Jericho busted him open on Monday. I saw the blood pooling under his head when he was laying in front of the announcers table and thought it looked like a little bit more than the norm I bet it was from the shot with the camera. Jericho looked at both sides of the camera before deciding which way to hold it. I'm thinking maybe he chose the wrong side.
  16. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Mar 24, 2009 -> 04:55 PM) No way no how. Flair called it during their segment last night, he said he wanted Rourke at courtside to come in and throw some punches during the match. Its going to be Rourke delivering the final blow of the match, book it. HA. f***ing basketball tournament is rotting your brain!
  17. Happy Birthday, and I hope your liver doesn't kalapse!

QUOTE (The Bones @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 10:29 AM) I saw I Love You, Man last night. It was alright. You know what to expect if you've seen the trailer. I didn't like it as much as the "Apatow" comedies such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Pineapple Express but it had its moments. Paul Rudd gives a good performance. Paul Rudd is solid, but I'm not too interested in seeing that movie. I'll wait for the rental, I think.
  19. I have no problem with the Sox slow-playing Colon's progress. You don't need that 5th starter very much in the first month, so as long as Bartolo is ready late April/early May I'm happy.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 21, 2009 -> 09:09 AM) Ever since they hired Russo, that promotions product has gone down hill...Big Time! A couple of personalities and some talent make some of it watchable, but it is crap. I like the Knockout Division better than anything probably. Foley's been really good the past couple weeks, I wish Sabin & Shelley could talk as well as they think they can, and I've actually enjoyed some of the Beer Money/Team 3D feud. I'm glad Samoa Joe lost the 1998 workout tights, but he replaced it with a drawing of a crooked penis on his face, so that's a wash. AJ's always watchable, but he'll probably never deliver a good promo. The Main Event Mafia stuff is bad.
  21. Lucky Eric Young. He gets the honor of wrestling a cage match at the Lockdown PPV against.... Danny Bonaduce. Smells like wCw.
  22. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 11:08 AM) Dude I am scared s***less. My problem is these guys have been doing alot of Jazz/neo soul/R & B/folk for over ten years. He said I can take this new band in any direction but he is basing that off of me singing R & B music(which I sound best and is the only way he has heard me sing). I want to go more an indie/folk/blues/rock kinda deal and I am gonna have a hard time telling these professional musicians how we should sound. If he told you that you can take the band where you want it, that says to me they're open to trying something new. Don't worry too much about the "professional" aspect of it - everyone had a "first band" and as long as you listen as well as speak, you should be fine. I'm sure whatever you sing will still carry some of they style he heard when you sang R&B. Just realize (and I'm sure you do) that it probably won't end up being 100% what any of you want to do, and that everything is a work in progress. I'm guessing you'll end up somewhere in the middle of all your respective styles when it's all said and done. Just have fun with it and DON'T QUIT!!!!!
  23. QUOTE (shipps @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 09:35 AM) Ok,so I am going to be the lead singer in a band. Iam really intimidated because I am gonna be working with a few seasoned musicians from Chicago and this is my first time doing anything seriously in music. I have always had the ability to sing but just never had the desire to get up in front of people. My friend is a drummer from The Soul People(will also drum for this band) and has been telling me to do this for a long time. I dont know how its gonna workout, he said I have all the freedom to take the band in any direction that I want. Feels kinda crazy right now. VERY cool, shipps! Don't give up on it, even if you get scared s***less at first! I came this/close to answering an ad for a lead singer when I was a kid - I saw an ad in the Illinois Entertainer and my curiosity was piqued, The band lived not far from me and every band they listed as an influence was a band I loved! The one problem was they practiced on nights that I played softball, and I ultimately chose softball. Ah well...
  24. After reading that Colon thread, I just want to congratulate Eddie Einhorn for GMing the White Sox to their first World Series title since 1917.
  25. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 20, 2009 -> 09:47 AM) Prior has AWFUL mechanics. People like Steve Stone have been saying this for a long time, and it's no surprise he's had the injury problems that he has. Yep, it should say "when Alex Gonzalez rendered the first seven meaningless." And when Moises Alou threw a hissy-fit and incited the crowd to want to lynch an innocent fan. And when Prior mentally imploded because a foul ball landed in the left-field seats. And when Dusty Baker sat by and did nothing to calm his freaked-out pitcher down.
