3 bands I'd like to see on that bill: Rise Against Ben Folds The Gaslight Anthem
-
My wife went to see Chris Cornell last night. She said he was great. Even his new songs sounded better than the recorded versions because the "beep boop beep" Timbaland production wasn't there. She had some dumb b**** in front of her who felt it was necessary to throw her head back and swing her hair in their faces. There's always at least one dips*** who had to ruin things for people.

Mike North is the biggest douche in Chicago media. Only Ron Santo can approach the douchebaggery of Mike North.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 02:13 PM) This sounds like one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. Their album comes out this week. I believe that it's already being shipped to Guantanamo bay to play loudly to keep prisoners awake. It's actually harmless, inoffensive, mildly catchy and immediately forgettable power pop. There are several songs that sound like Cheap Trick songs sung by a kid with a much weaker singing voice.

QUOTE (T R U @ Apr 19, 2009 -> 03:51 AM) Meh I still cant seem to get into TNA, it almost seems like work to try and remember when its on and finding it on TV when im so programmed into the E as it is.. I dunno, I find lately that each show (Raw, Impact and SmackDown) has about the same amount of decent stuff and lame s***. Don West has been my biggest problem with Impact lately, so if Taz replaces him, that raises the show up a lot of notches for me. -

Looks like TNA has signed Taz, but not as a wrestler. Please Please PLEASE send Don West back to hawking junk on QVC!!!!! Tenay and Taz could actually be halfway decent. -
When I'm around kids, not at all. When I'm around adults, sometimes. On my podcast, quite a bit - that "explicit" tag frees me up to let the bombs fly. When the message board stars out the curse words, you're f***ing right as s*** I f***ing curse my motherf***ing ass off!

QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 15, 2009 -> 12:39 AM) Thanks to our wonderful economy I know of many restaurants who have daily specials during the week. Where do you find these deals online? I am not asking for drink and hamburger specials, more prefixed 3 course meals and such. thanks I know if you go to radio station websites such as Q101 or the Loop they have deals on discount coupons where, for example, you pay 25 bucks and you get 50 bucks worth of gift certificates to certain restaurants. The deals and restaurants change frequently, so you have to check regularly to see what's offered that day.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 03:02 PM) This makes me want to party hard tonight. I always wondered what it would sound like if Bananarama had Down's Syndrome babies, and now I finally know. Thank you, Intarwebz!

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 11:23 AM) Delivered to his home via a repeating t-shirt cannon.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 11:22 AM) I never really looked at their arms. If the arms were big, you'd have noticed them.
-
QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 11:16 AM) Maybe the Sox should settle in t-shirts? That would seriously be fantastic. "Judgment for the plaintiff in the amount of 4,500 White Sox Pride Crew t-shirts....and they must be delivered to his home, since he couldn't possibly lift the box anymore."
-
QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 11:15 AM) Don't they only use the cannons for shooting shirts to the upper deck? Cause I remember the last couple times I went to Sox games that they threw all the shirts at the lower deck and used the cannons for the far-out upper deck. I think they'd need the cannon to reach the back of the lower bowl. Those chicks ain't got big arms!

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 11:00 AM) Probably, I mean you can't sue a team or MLB for getting hit by flying baseballs, bats, etc. so I don't see how this is different. Well, I can see how a case can be made that it is different to get "stampeded" by people when a cheapo t-shirt is thrown or shot into the crowd by employees of the team. T-shirt cannons are not a "normal" expectation at a baseball game in the same way a ball or even a bat might be, although if this guy had been to a game in the last few years he should have known that this happens and just stayed home. You never think it can happen to you, though....

QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 09:45 AM) There is no way fans will boo Joe. If they do I would be ashamed. After the first at-bat I think all bets are off. If not then, definitely after the first game or if he gets a big hit to win a game for them.

My guess is ovation when his name comes up in the pre-game lineup announcement, standing O for his first at-bat, then back to being a Twin for him after that.

QUOTE (longshot7 @ Apr 8, 2009 -> 08:26 AM) If you didn't like the MITB match then maybe you need to question whether or not you like wrestling at all. What a great, fun, spot-filled car wreck (in a good way). One of the best MITBs. I'm not a big fan of gimmick matches, so that's not really my litmus test of wrestling fandom. I'm more about the promos, a good solid storyline that doesn't rush or drag (hard to find, but always worth it), good matchups and a light dusting of crazy spots. I don't really like spotfests, because IMO it diminishes the impact of the high-risk or daredevil moves overall. -

Game's probably still not tied if Wise gets Josh to 2nd. Too short of a bloop. -

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 3, 2009 -> 04:04 PM) The gunmen has been identified as a 41 year old Asian male, Jiverly Yoong. I wonder what are the circumstances behind his firing at IBM. If he had an aggenda against immigration it would have been sort of shortsighted to attack those who are legally seeking citizenship. I'm guessing he wasn't thinking too clearly.
