  1. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Feb 7, 2009 -> 03:11 PM) Bobby Heenan is his dad. He packed foreign objects with his lunch in grade school.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 7, 2009 -> 07:05 AM) It would probably behoove KW to get off of the "I don't have any money to spend" talk if they don't like being thought of as cheap. If they think a guy making minimum is just as good as someone who would cost millions, fine. Just don't go into the "can't spend $1 when I only have $.50." He cries poor more than any executive since Bill Veeck. KW brings more attention to White Sox finances with his talk. Absolutely. It's a spiral.
  3. The White Sox as an organization have always seemed very sensitive about the perception that they are cheap, so this doesn't surprise me.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 6, 2009 -> 09:31 AM) The mail person mistakenly delivered my neighbors mail to us yesterday. Little did I know I live next to a Mariano Rivera. Kenny Williams would not want you living next door to A Mariano Rivera, he would want you to live next to THE Mariano Rivera.
  5. Norm MacDonald plays Beane and Aries Spears is KW in my Moneyball movie. If they're not available, David Spade is Beane and David Allan Grier is Kenny.
  6. Hey, at least he'll be able to say he was there. Sure, he heard the thing he wanted to see and saw the thing he wanted to hear.... ....but he was there.
  7. QUOTE (shipps @ Feb 5, 2009 -> 05:25 PM) My strategy for next year is to copy, delete and then paste critics posts as my own. He has a wonderful sense of humor so he wont mind I'm sure. I just have to hope that knight or ss2k doesnt do that to me after I do it. Any copying, rebroadcast or other use of the pictures, descriptions or accounts of The Critic's posts without the expressed written consent of The Critic is prohibited.

Jim, I tried reading that last post of yours, but it all came out sounding like crows cawing with an air raid siren in the background.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 4, 2009 -> 09:19 AM) He's a classic second fiddle. He can't be "the guy" but playing in the shadows behind some guys, he is very solid. Marty Pippen?
  10. Did I accidentally walk past it? Seriously, I hope the damage isn't too severe, and that no one is injured (early reports say there are no injuries).

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 09:52 AM) http://www.aolcdn.com/tmz_audio/020209_christianbale.mp3 Christian Bale=Psycho. (NSFW Audio Clip) THAT should have been the voice of Batman! "f*** you, Joker! You just don't f***ing get it!! You and me, we're done professionally, man! If you rob ONE MORE f***ING BANK, I'm not stepping foot in Gotham if you're still hired!"
  15. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 10:39 AM) when I refer to everyone, I mean myself Well, you didn't actually say "everyone", you said "nobody". I thought you were being a little hard on yourself, calling yourself nobody like that...
  16. QUOTE (shipps @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 08:02 AM) critic I voted for you so you better vote for me you selfish prick. ....I can't tell you who I voted for....the right to vote is very sacred to me.... ...this vote, it's a f***ing valuable thing, I'm not just going to GIVE IT AWAY....
  17. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_dadd...?urn=nhl,138183 The Canadiens trotted out some HIDEOUS uniforms, and the Las Vegas Wranglers had a "Rod Blagojevich Night" where the Wranglers wore old-style black and white striped prison uniforms and their opponents, the Bakersfield Condors, wore orange prison jumpsuit uniforms - you must click the link to see their uniforms.
  18. QUOTE (shipps @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 08:32 AM) What comes with a grand slam? Fireworks and 4 RBI. ....sorry, couldn't help myself....

  20. When I saw the crowd I thought it was a wCw Thunder taping.
  21. I'm putting this in the Blago thread and the wrestling thread because it deserves to be in both: http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/tna/613.html

  23. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 30, 2009 -> 07:54 PM) Really? Seriously? You're making this comparison? It's an apt comparison. She wouldn't get her ass off that bus seat, and he (allegedly?) stuck a needle in his. Same thing....exactly the same thing....
  24. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 29, 2009 -> 07:58 PM) You MUST let me know if Steiner drops any gems on commentary. Nahhhhh, they reported it wrong. Steiner was the ring announcer and Booker T was color commentary. Booker did this annoying low, gravelly, Wolfman Jack type of voice the whole time, and Steiner was funny but didn't have enough mic time to say anything really offensive/hilarious. The funniest thing was when Booker did a run-in, he took the mic with him and announced what he was doing: "Booker sees Petey Williams lying in the corner....he lines him up.....OHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh, Booker kicks Petey in the head!!!" This was just one more example of the Main Event Mafia trying and failing to be the nWo. They "took over" because Jarrett was injured and Foley was late to arrive. Angle sat in Jarrett's office - OOOOOOOH - what a rebel!!! As soon as Foley arrived he put the show "back in order" and they just let him do it. It was like a teenager throwing a party while his parents weren't home, and running scared when they got home.
