  1. I think they figure he'll get his innings in like this and they can build him up next year before the season. I saw this a few weeks back with the one inning outings after the injury.
  2. How do you smoke and mirror your way to a wRC+? Please, enlighten me.

  4. The White Sox are fifth in baseball in runs scored and runs per game, so if their offense is terrible than almost all of baseball is apocalypticly bad.
  5. He isn't throwing strikes and hasn't been throwing them all year. He's been unlucky, sure - his Ground ball rate is absurd - but he's been way off the plate with his misses.
  6. I love the idea of trading for Story because you'd be trading with the Rockies and they haven't won a deal in the history of this regime.
  7. Why would the GM of a team up 9.5 games in their division, and with three all-star calibar players coming back, think it's "not their year?"
  8. LOL Pal, you said they would not bench Hosmer for "utility man" Jake Croenworth. It's OK Caufield, when Hosmer has sat out half the games between now and years end, you can still cling to your Hosmer is a great perspective. You now claiming you said they would always plays Frazier and Croenworth everyday is hilarious. Just look at the two quoted posts.
  9. Anyone know why we didn't get an update on the Padres lineup today from @caulfield12?
  10. I'm guessing this is a joke, and a decent one at that.
  11. A 26 year old catcher in AAA and a 21 year old with a 336 OPS at A Ball. Neither in the top prospects of the brewers system.
  12. Don't think the farm system is holding them back from getting Escobar.
  13. His ground ball rate is great, and he's been unlucky there, but he just can't throw strikes. He's lost this year with the strike zone and I have my doubts that he finds it.
  14. As the biggest Bummer excuse maker on this forum this year, I have to say I think he's broken for this year. He's not done going forward, but I don't think he fixes whatever is ailing him within this season - you can't count on him anymore imo.
  15. Sheets production is pretty damn impressive given that he's rocking a 205 BABIP.
  16. I kind of wish we'd give him some tick in Right Field right now. Guy has 17 homers in 61 games. The strike outs are bad, but his wRC+ is damn good this year.
  17. Lol what don't you get. He's not coming out of anything, this is who he is. He's been a replacement level bum for over 300 games. Hosmer being traded for a big name lolololol And you said I was way off and then posted something that had nothing to do with what I said jajaja Hosmer has been relegated to a back up role in SD.
  18. People laughed at it because no one would touch Hosmer's atrocious contract. Intangibles that make the 3rd worst player in baseball since 2019 magically good. This thread is amazing. Hosmer has been moved to a bench role and for some reason that makes Caufield upset because he has a Hosmer poster hanging on his ceiling that he looks at every night before bed.
  19. Said it in May, but guy is gonna have a huge half and easily win the ROY.
