It's hard to take people seriously when they call grandal avg or below avg last year when he was arguably the best catcher in baseball. The knee is clearly effecting him this year. He had to change how he sits behind home plate for goodness sakes. This is why players shouldn't play hurt. Fans rip them for not playing hurt then rip them for not being great when they play hurt.

Clevinger got hurt last year. It's not like they were banking on him this season and he went down. They literally traded for Musgrove because of that injury. Proclaiming lamet, who has had ONE good year in which he only threw 69 innings as losing keuchel or lynn is hilarious. I'm not even sure id call lamet Carlos rodon. Of carlos rodon went down for the sox, they would survive and wouldn't at all be some completely unexpected bad break.

He can't throw to first base and has chronic shoulder problems. He was bad In 2019 and has been bad in 2021. You cherry picking 2020 is very tatis fanboy of you.

Lol, I take more shit from posters here than any or you sensitive whiny mods ever do and I laugh at them 99.9% of the time with the poster. I posted less because posts had been deleted after I called out all the posters who felt the need to get personal and ended up wrong. If you're gonna dish it, then delete posts in response its not fun for me.. I don't like censorship on forums. Ron posts cracks on me all the time and I always find them funny. Pretending I get angry over them is just flat out wrong. I've never once contacted a moderator about a poster being "mean" to me and I certainly don't report posts but keep insinuating whatever you'd like.

I didnt know you had personal opinions about people on the forum. This is very hurtful. I hope I can recover. And jokes are funny for anyone that doesn't take themselves too seriously.
-
When I posted less because it became less fun? Yes, I do this for entertainment. When it becomes less entertaining, I do it less. It isn't rocket science. Remember when mods here couldn't take jokes and run to defend each other from posters? Ahhh, yes, I too remember. Edit: also, do you remember when Tony stopped watching the team and the games after 1 week of the season because it wasn't worth his time? Ahh, yes. Let me guess.. him saying something like that isn't at all similar to me saying something like I'm posting less? Lol
-
No, it's not at all the equivalent of losing giolito and keuchel/lynn lol.
-
You may want to try learning to take a joke. Life may become more fun for you. Who knows. Some people are just wound so tight.
-
Lol literally only one of these arms is reliably good. Your weird obsession with the Padres is... well, weird. Clevinger was a tough loss. Lamet has never been healthy or reliable. The rest of those guys are just guys. Thought we were gonna get a nice error count update on tqtis who made another one tonight, up to 10 and on a near record setting pace

lol didn't see that; that picture is terrible. i see now that TA was there, if only I could have gotten that lucky. I was sitting next to some loud finance bros who had about 12 drinks too many and wanted the whole world to know about it. pretty sure they were 100% capacity too; was glad the wife and I were fully vaccinated, once I walked in and saw how packed it was.

I swear people who do things like this in hopes of getting an internet high five from someone like Steve stone are a whole other level of weird. "Did you see what this stranger said on the internet!?!?!" You literally don't need to venture much further than the response to any highly active tweet chain to see way more vile comments. I love that stone would be more appalled by a tweet like that than he, and many fans apparently, are by Tony larussa repeatedly driving drunk and risking actual lives. Weird stuff all around.
-
I'll be honest, I'm shocked that chitown even saw the post or has a reaction to games because him and Tony stopped watching after a week because it just isn't fun and as they get older they have become very important and had better thing to do with their lives building mahogony tables in their workshops while learning Latin with Rosetta stone.
-
Lol. Special Agent Bevington monitoring and analyzing.
-
Thanks, mayn! Even the Sox were being kind to me tonight to make sure I didn't miss a little action. Nice meal at Chicago Cut and the rain held off long enough to walk around a bit before. Not a big steak guy personally but my wife would eat it 9 days a week if she could, and we know marriage is all about compromise (meaning the wife gets what she wants).
-
Maybe we can get a Lyle and Ellis tag-team GM team!
-
... and why does the other need to play, exactly?
-
Why does Nick Madrigal need a night off after playing 1 game? I really just don't understand what is happening. Leury Garcia is on pace to get like 450-500 at bats. lol
-
Going out for my actual anniversary tonight so, don't hate me, but I wouldn't mind a rainout! Looks like, at worst, they would be playing in some precipitation most of the night.
-
When my wife catches me doing something I know is borderline wrong, I typically also get incredibly defensive and start swearing so now I am 100% convinced they were. When I'm not wrong, i always react calmly and don't even address her nonsense. Guilty!
-
Pal, I can change that real quick! People take this all a bit too seriously. Hopefully when TLR starts the hot dog vendor in LF tonight we can all wish him the best.

As I got older and became an employee, I started to respect Jerry the boss quite a bit. He is a really loyal guy which hurts his product, but you damn well can guarantee I wish I worked for a boss like him. He has taken care of 99.9% of his employees during the pandemic, and overall seems like a real supportive guy to have in your corner. Is he a good baseball owner as a fan, no.. not really, but he seems like a pretty honest man when it comes to his treatment of employees and that's really all you can ask of your employer as you get older. Seeing how the Cubs, for example, are making their alternate site guys pay for their housing and exploit every loophole to screw employees out of money, and their own players, I can't help but appreciate how Jerry has handled the pandemic even more. Even Jerry being reluctant to sign 16 year olds isn't tied to risk as much as it's tied to him not liking the system (especially since he got burned by his own "employee" exploiting international kids) and how it treats those people. I'm not always proud of the on-the-field product, but I do appreciate how he runs the organization much more employee-friendly than many others do. Loyalty to me is really honorable, even if it means Lyle Muton may be the Sox GM one day.

IWULT: Hello, mr FBI? I want to report an internet post. FBI: Did he threaten you or your family with bodily harm in a way that can be considered legitimate? IWULT: No but.. FBI: Did he violate your privacy, hack you, or destroy/damage your equipment or use this post to commit fraud? IWULT: No but.. FBI: Did it contain CP or other illegal imagery? IWULT: NO! He wished the manager of my baseball team death tonight while he sleeps! FBI: Get a load of this guy everyone... hahahahahaha *CLICK*
-
To be fair, at least he wished a peaceful death. Even in the heat of the moment, CWS didn't want Tony to feel the pain Tony made him feel. Honestly think this is all being a bit overblown. It was a shitty thing to say, but I asked Chitown and he said it was just good natured ribbing in his opinion.
-
LOL What? The police should be involved in someone's weird internet wishes? Guy didn't say he was going to kill him. You going to report CWS to the FBI? Please, when they respond with a message laughing at you can you paste it here for us all to get a nice laugh out of?
-
Maybe CWS worked at Tony's animal rescue and is upset at his treatment of employees and got a bit emotional. ?
