  1. There was no news last night, unless I missed it.
  2. Burger has to be one of the more impressive stories I've seen in my baseball viewing life. Burger hadn't played a professional game, before this year, since 2017. 2017!!! He was coming back from an injury that just 15-20 years ago was a career ender, and he suffered the injury twice! No one comes back twice. This year he hasn't just been good, he's been unbelievable in AAA. He even started a little slowly - likely due to the time off - but he now has a wRC+ of 150 through 185 PA's. He's been arguably the best hitter in AAA for the past month+, and he's done it with power and a reasonable k-rate. HIs bb rate could use a little growth, but he somehow found a way to turn the hitch in his swing into a load-timing mechanism that gets his hands to the zone quicker and keeps them in the zone longer - a pretty wild adjustment. For someone with as little experience as he has had over the past few years, his growth is amazing. You got to wonder where Burger would be developmentally if not for the injuries. I don't know if he'll succeed in the big leagues, but the performance he has had this year is nothing short of remarkable. Pretty crazy for a guy that was retiring because he attended a Bears v Packers game and posted those pictures to instagram.... lol
  3. Or the Sox are just trolling him, which would be weird.
  4. He literally hit the ball off the absolute end of the bat.
  5. Vaughn will never hit righties and should be demoted.
  6. y shouldnt people who cheated be called out? I dont get it.
  7. I'm not saying he should have fought anyone, relax. Giolito told the guy to come say it to his face and he's claiming he did and Giolito was speechless. I agree Giolito shouldn't be getting in a fist fight with Donaldson. This is highly entertaining and I'm here for it!
  8. I mean, Rick wasn't there either.
  9. I wish more things in sports were out in the open like this. This is gold!
  10. giolito was clearly using something to help him get more spin, not sure why that isn't fair game.
  11. I've got no beef with anything Donaldson did. If pitchers were skirting the rules they deserve some ridicule. I'm a sox fan though so fuck Donaldson in general.
  12. Donaldson is a nut job and a show boater, but Giolito literally asked him to come say it to his face and Donaldson decided to further cement his absurd lunacy by doing exactly that. Whole thing was a clusterfuck.
  13. Damn, Donaldson kind of punked Gio lol.
  14. Sounds to me like he's still hurt if he has to ditch switch hitting due to pain on some swings. SIgh.
  15. Huh? You need to save Billy Hamilton in case an infielder gets hurt? I don't track.
  16. Wait, Billy is available but was not playing CF with the big lead? Sheesh.
  17. Twins have given Sox fans so much PTSD they refuse to agree or accept that the Twins suck. They suck. The loud sound you hear when the Twins play isn't Nelson Cruz, it's the opposing teams hitters smashing Twins pitching. Benetti is a dope constantly saying he's worried about the twins. The twins suck.
  18. Twins were supposed to stop trying.
  19. lol wtf does this mean? They're 10 games under 500. If that isn't sucking, before the all-star break, what is?
  20. Goodwin is a subpar CF'er, Sheets is a 1st baseman playing right field and Vaughn has been surprisingly competent but he's slow AF and certainly not covering up anyone elses short comings.
  21. The run is on Sheets - which I'm not blaming him, he's not a natural RF'er, but the run is his fault - not LaRussa. The Outfield defense is an abortion.
  22. I would have bet my house that Cruz would light marshall up for something.
