  1. At what point is it fair to question leadership for the product on the field, given how they've clearly underperformed your expectations that you presented to fans at the beginning of the rebuild and during the most recent off-season? What do you think is the main driving factor, beyond injuries, for the team taking a significant step backwards this season; where has all the power gone? Do you believe that there needs to be some accountability for anyone in leadership for how things are unfolding? Why all of a sudden are players being activated and on the 26 man roster who are incapable of hustling without injuring themselves? Why rush unhealthy players back and risk reinjuring them?
  2. Actually, sports media members could absolutely chose to not be the sports PR wing; there are media members who have great access and sources who light up teams, the game and leaders. They haven't lost access or anything. People in local sports media merely work in PR for the local organizations most times. Acting like it's reasonable to not put pressure on an organization in the name of "access" means ones certainly not a sports journalist.
  3. Yeah, I saw the screenshot posted elsewhere and was curious if anyone here had seen or heard anything since I'm not on social media and don't follow players/etc. That said, his instagram was pretty much wiped clean and all what you said was true and then he was out of the lineup. May have just been a personal tragedy that made him upset and it was unrelated to the Sox and they're giving him time away, but clearly something was up.
  4. Lololol Tony not looking at or caring about results explains a lot
  5. It's honestly fucking hilarious that he pinch hit for his catcher with another catcher with no one on base down 4, but he didn't pinch hit for leury with Andrew vaughn down two with men on 1st a d 3rd. You just can't make this shit up if you tried.
  6. Yup, and they just kept swinging because when you have big sticks like leury and gavin, you can't take walks and waste hour opportunity to drive in runs.
  7. Not an idiot, just someone who allows one output to impact his overall views which are inherently negative. We all do it at times.
  8. Jack, you are the definition of someone who mispaints stats to represent their own narrative. Kopech curve and slider both grade as + pitches this year.
  9. Rick hahn has become like a major political figure... "If only someone could do something about this manager and these failures. We need your help, sox fans!" Guy acts like he works in the marketing department and has not authority to do anything. Flat out hilarious.
  10. There's so much to b**** about that is so valid, but leave it to Parkman to complain about something that isn't a concern. Kopech should have been out after 1 base runner. Nothing Tony does is right, and honestly he's been kind of unlucky because even the wrong move works a decent % of the time in baseball but Tony has managed to have all his stupidity come back to bite him.
  11. That might be your last great scoring opportunity and you let the worst hitter in baseball by a lot hit instead of having 1 of 2 guys who crush lefties bat. Can't wait for leury to have one big hit in August and la russa to start tooting his horn.
  12. It's about to be July and leury has a 482 ops and yet he is never replaced during a game and starts often. It's honestly amazing.
  13. I swear Tony just doesn't actually want to win. It's just not his goal. He wants to prove everyone wrong instead.
  14. THe first two words are really only used in the Cuban spanish dialect. I translated those via a search, but the last half about "my soul hurts" I know is correct.
  15. The translate I believe is it's horrible my friend, my soul hurts.
  16. Hopefully he's doing alright. I'd imagine he's away from most people he loves and has been for some time. That in addition to probably being here, for what he feels like is work only. That said, the slave thing is a bit much. Hopefully this is all a nothingburger and it's not about the Sox treatment and if it's personal that he's OK sooner than later.
  17. "slave" lol what an absolute idiot. Although I'm not sure how reputable this source is or if this entire story was made up.
  18. That's more of a balance thing. When he's not fooled, he goes through the zone with better balance and his bat is more in line with his hips and he's not flailing at the ball. When he's off balance, his bat gets out in front of his hips and his turn, so he lets go of the bat with his back hand. It's not that his swing is different as much as it's just that he's off balance and has to release with his trail hand.
  19. So tim can't run fast to first because of injury but he can steal bases? La russa runs a laughable ship that promotes nada.
  20. Yeah, but I think the point is he should have never come up in the first place if that's tbe case.
  21. Where the hell did he think he was going anyway. The amount of dumb comes down from the top. I'd bet this team never ever practices situational baseball. Simple things.
  22. Amazed people think that was a "tough" play. Sheets was running to the spot the entire time while looking back at the ball. He took a rounded route. He was still under the ball and it hit him right in the glove. A normal outfielder not only runs to the spot and is sitting under the ball, but it wouldn't even be considered a tough play. That was a 1* catch if he makes it.
