Under what scenario would you consider offering Crochet and/or Kopech extensions?
I actually like crochet a ton because his arm doesn't have a lot of wear and tear or volume. If he can stay healthy he might have a lot of bullets left. Similar to someone like wheeler, not terrible to get hurt a bunch in your early 20s if you can find some health.

Kopech has zero offspeed stuff. Slider just backs up all day.

No way grifol is doing anything on his own. This guy might as well be chris Getz in a mask.

What I love about this org the most is they'll assure that even when something looks great, they'll do everything they can to make it less enjoyable. Crochet has to come out for the 7th... an inning most seasoned arms are being pulled before right now, so he can risk injury and lose his slim lead. Now crochet and us all get to be pissed together! Nice.

Agreed, but I'm sure he'd be interested given his injury history too. I'd rather visit an extension at the all star break than a trade.

Crochet is 24 years old. They could... you know, sign him? Sox don't plan on being good in the next 6 years. You watching what this guy is doing in his second big league start vs avcuna and an elite offense? The injury risk is large which is the big concern but if he shows me durability and sustained success this year I'm not moving.

I loved them giving crochets credit to the guys who's beer belly has Lance Lynn gawking.

Jake burger rakes. Only reason it makes sense in a vacuum is because jake can't mash baseballs from inside one.

This would be a fun promo. White sox replace a player tuesdays. First 27 fans get to bat for a big leaguer.

I've been wrong on plenty of players in my life but never been more wrong than I was on Vaughn. What a chode.

Amazing how bad fletcher has looked. It's like bad Eaton and madrigal had a baby.

Yeah, this guy blows. That said, he's mixing up his slider based on count. Great feel for that pitch.

If the baseball gods give me one thing this year, let it be crochet staying healthy all year. This guy is a machine.

White Sox bring Mike Clevinger back, pending physical
Yeah, who is anyone here to doubt the judgements of Chris Getz and the Chicago White Sox when it comes to high character clubhouses and leadership! Clevinger proved last year that he's not netting anything - I know the circumstances aren't 100% the same, but the reality is he's an asshat and he stinks. Even if we say that the accusation isn't 100% true, what is true is he broke Covid protocol when his highly respected and well liked manager had a compromised immune system. I can't imagine he's a good influence on a single young baseball player; maybe you want to argue he's not as bad as it seems, but there's no one arguing he's a positive influence.

This is one of the funniest Harold Getz apologists posts ever.... This "low ball" offer was the best offer clevinger got so how is it a lowball

White Sox bring Mike Clevinger back, pending physical
Bauer and Urias come with an initial circus teams don't want to manage. Sox manage it and then move to a contender. I could see it being much more likely than trying clevinger after last year.

Agree with those that say if you're gonna do this go sign a Urias or a Bauer, be the team that takes the PR hit, and try and get something for them
