    1-0

QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 09:35 AM) Winning opening day 1-0 and winning it all 1-0, is the best way to win, showing , what our team is all about: Pitching and defense gotta love that! Amazing...my friend was so excited about the 'bookends' last night he was scaring me a little First game of the second half was also 1-0 as well
  4. World Series Champs; nope still hasn't sunk in at all to say that. Thanks to each and every one of you for giving me hours of enjoyment reading every post on this site. If I agree or not, stupid or otherwise, Soxtalk has been a huge part of my day, almost everyday for the past 2 plus years. Collectively we all have invested so much into this team, and for people like us, the true die-hards this World Series is sooooo much sweeter! Chat Crew, my attendance was poor in the postseason, but you know I still love all of you, despite the fact I was left off of the list Cheers to Soxtalk!
  5. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Oct 27, 2005 -> 08:43 AM) Any idea what time this is gonna start? I might have to take off work that day. I already feel a bad cold coming on...they owe me a sick day after I came into work today
  6. WAS A BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Downed a few shots with some fellow White Sox fans, celebrated like it was 1917 ran around like a fool in the rain outside. All in all a great night. They did a really great job of bringing the game atmosphere to the UC. Granted, it felt like a game in early May against the Royals as there was only a few thousand there. But it was absolutely awesome! I have no voice at all. And I made it to work today... :banghead
  7. The key is to not celebrate too much the first night. You're gonna have to turn this into a 3-4 day bender. A White Sox World Series Championship is not something that can only be celebrated on one single 24 hour session
  8. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 11:12 AM) :puke I thought so too...wasn't my choice as I was in the back seat, but at that point of the night, I would've headbanged to The Cranberries
  9. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) Bryan told me to listen for some reason but I couldn't get the feed... anything stand out about the broadcast? Did he mention his crazy ass friend who kept telling him she was going to blow that joint up if we lost by a run... I didnt hear anything about that. But I only listened from about 2:00 to 2:40 because on the way home we were rocking out to O.A.R. So he might have said something earlier on, but I missed it...
  10. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 11:00 AM) I told you this last night.. check the text. Ok let me sort through the 3,500 messages from last night...
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) first it was my throat & now oh my freakin head & neck. stay up? i got on the postgame show from San Diego. i cant get enough of this year. i love anything to do with the Chicago White Sox! YOU ARE WATCHING THE 2005 WORLD SERIES CHAMPION CHICAGO WHITE SOX! Ha..well then I definitely heard you call in, unless there was multiple callers from San Diego You sounded kinda pillaged on the phone, now I know why
  12. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) All I got to say is I'm really starting to buy into what you told Steff during Sunday's game...(about god). I have no idea what you're refering to, but... Does that mean we get to hold more religious conversation tonight?? Bible Study at the UC??
  13. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 10:53 AM) I staued up then couldnt fall aslepp until 2:30. AND i had to be up at 7. So, needless to say I am dragging at work right now. In bed at 2:45, up at 6:15 buddy...So I have you beat Pony up!
  14. Of course I was up the whole time... We had double decker seating set up at my friends place...was pretty sweet that all of us stayed till the last out Did kinda suck driving home though that late...but I'll happily do it all over again tonight!!
  15. Fearless Prediction of the Night: AJ Pierzynski...puts one over the crawford boxes in left off of Oswalt. You heard it hear first
  16. QUOTE(J-MAN @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) I placed an order last Monday hoping to get WS tickets! Finally received a call from one of the ticket agents last night saying the are not processing any ticket orders until Nov. 1!!!!! Isn't that exactly what I told you yesterday afternoon?
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) Score...If you remember, and if we ever cross paths, I'll pay up on the cookie
  18. Add Scoop Jackson to the list of people digging Journey: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=jackson/051024 I never thought I would appreciate his articles as much as I have his last two entries. For those with a keen eye there is one error in his article...so I'll buy a cookie to the first person to find what I'm talking about
  19. This quote came to mind after looking at that shirt: Michael Bolton: That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, Tom. Samir: Yes, this is horrible, this idea.
  20. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 10:38 AM) Yea they are. Another idiot Cub fan informed me this morning he's got game 6 & 7 tickets and season seats in 113. They are not taking any new orders...but they are still filling orders that were made on monday and tuesday of last week.
  21. QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) wait a couple months, things will settle down. So you're saying it wasn't a smart move to be the high bidder on those tickets right now?
  22. QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) It should be without a doubt. We dont need any of our HR's to hit the top and fall down for a long, high single. Yes, because that happens SOOOOOOOOOO often :rolly This is actually suprising to me that MLB is stepping in to make the decision but I guess it makes sense. A retractable dome should only be closed if there is a reason for it to be closed. It's a bit of a headscratcher
  23. QUOTE(J-MAN @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) I understand the ticket office was swamped last week but does anyone really work there? I sent in a deposit form last Monday hoping for tickets to the series - still haven't heard from anyone there!!!!! I did receive an e-mail from an agent - Greg Hodges that would get back to me the next day - that was last Tuesday. I have sent e-mails and left voice messages for him and one of the other agents someone else listed daily with no response. I know they were busy but you would think they would have a better response to people willing to lay out money for season tickets. Is their customer service and agent response normally this bad? I got through today and they said they will be calling prospective season ticket holders starting November 1, FWIW. Also you're credit card should not have been charged and will not be until you talk to an agent over the phone. "American League Champion Chicago White Sox"...It took me a second to compose myself after she answered the phone like that...
  24. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) Likely Thursday unless we win Tuesday, then we'll go on Wednesday. You bringing the usual suspects..? Yeah probably...you know how I roll... I'm gonna do the same thing, if they win on tuesday I will be there wednesday, if not then thursday.
