  1. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) Hmmmm. How many members do we have on Soxtalk now? If everyone sends me a dime ..... Is there anyway to paypal you a ball of lint?
  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 09:49 AM) $1,200 per seat, UD corners on Stubhub. Ya know, just so...you know. That is ridiculous...am I gonna pony up the cash for that???? Only time will tell
  3. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 10:09 AM) I thought of the same thing..Just think of how much beer money would be made.. Great minds think....oh wait
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) You think that is giddy.. LMAO.. you should see some of the text messages I got last night.
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 10:06 AM) For starters your POS assembly hall doesn't serve alcohol. Are you just trying to anger the Illini faithful with that comment??? They are already on edge after losing Sherron Collins to Kansas yesterday But if they don't serve alcohol...couldn't they open the place?
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 09:57 AM) No. Insurance liability. We (season ticket holders as a group) asked till we were blue in the face in 2000. And to think it was the best idea I have ever had in my short insignificant life...shot down by 'insurance liability'. I love this country.... :banghead
  7. I was kinda wondering if the Sox have any plans to allow fans into The Cell for games 3, 4, 5 of the World Series. It would be awesome to watch the games on the jumbotron with a few thousand sox fans screaming and cheering while watching the games. It would give the opportunity for fans who can't make it to the world series games to take in a little world series atmosphere and enjoy the celebration of the World Series!! I would email Brooks B. about this but I don't have his email address and am too lazy to look it up. So what does everyone else think about this idea? The Sox could still take in some revenue by keeping a few concessions open and charging a small amount to get in, etc.
  8. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) I feltl similar about Anaheim. I'd rather face St. Louis, just as I rather have faced the Yankees in the ALCS--a team which our pitching had shown itself to match up well against. If Cardinals come back and win this series, than obviously it will be because either their offense has reemerged or their pitching has stepped up. There's no easy path to the World Series. Frankly, I don't care who we play at this point. We are in the World Series!! 15-3 in our last 18 games (12-1 in our last 13). This run is nothing short of remarkable, amazing, phenomenal, and any other adjective that you can think of. The Astros pitching would be tough to face, and the Cards are a well-balanced team with a great player in the middle of their lineup. Either way it will be a tough matchup but the Sox will be ready. I have no reason to believe otherwise at this point!!!
  9. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
  10. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 10:12 PM) I know Josh and he is a great guy. His brother is a teacher at my school. We are gonna have him on our radio show so we will ask him about that play for sure. Cool....say hi to Jeremy for me! The Paul's are good people, was very happy the Sox won but I was none to pleased to see Josh in the middle of the contraversy. And Rex of course he reads, he did go to Vandy...
  11. They're gone everyone...I'm worse than ticketmaster... I'm slowly replying to everyone who sent me PM's...give me a minute...
  12. I bought 4 tickets from a broker in section 155, row 21 for tonight. Now...I just upgraded to 3rd row tickets courtesy of a friend of mine. So..... If anyone wants to go to the game tonight...I have 4 tickets in the lower deck I'll sell at face value to whoever wants them. $100 each. PM me and we'll meet up at the game. I paid $150 each but I'm in a giving mood. Yes, I love Soxtalk....
  13. How many times can we retread this topic? The decision has been made, it's worked out quite well thus far. Just let it be...
  14. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) I heard the opposite when we faced the BoSox at the Cell! The Sawks fans sitting directly behind me during game 2 were really nice people...I had no complaints at all with them or any other Red Sox fans at the cell that day. I actually enjoyed reading that thread, thanks Rock.
  15. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) It was a great atmosphere. And I didn't get any chicken bites...Steff said it was going to be drinking and nothing else. I didn't want to piss her off. Phhhh...shes harmless... If I was there I would've ordered rounds of chicken bites just because of that comment Sounds like you had a blast out there...I was watching at a friends, a couch was tipped over and pillows were placed strategically to ensure the victory...
  16. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 09:51 AM) Suddenly with Tillman struggling, Vasher already being moved into a starter's role when he's probably not ready, and Jerry Azumah who's not good enough to be a starter, Chicago's CB's don't look all that good. But they've got plenty of time to turn it around still. And oh yeah, Antonio Bryant's a good one, when he ain't runnin his mouth. I agree with paragraph number one, two and three. Vasher would be an excellent nickle cornerback. He plays the position well but does not have the speed or size to play at high level. He has to be on the field but often when he is matched up against the number 1 or 2 reciever it is a bad mismatch in athleticism. Azumah still isn't back from that hip injury. Its obvious in his kickoff returns. Until he heals, which may never happen, he can't possibly start. Antonio Bryant is a player...not many know his name but hes a superfreak.
  17. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 08:56 AM) And wasn't he ranked in Dan Pompei's top 100 players in the NFL in the pre-season as well. Oh boy. All because he took the ball away from Randy Moss... Football's version of a one hit wonder
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 10, 2005 -> 08:56 AM) I heard that.. but WTF... Nip Tuck is on Tuesday nights... Nip Tuck Season 1 - the awesome Nip Tuck Season 2 - mediocre Nip Tuck Season 3 - MEHHHHHH... Any questions?
  19. Going to a friends...can't make it (although I am off of work)
  20. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) How do yo think brokers get tix? They buy season tix and sell all of them. Darn it Los...stop being so smart... So you get tix to any of the games? You did seem awfully worried about it earlier this morning.
  21. QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) guys outta curiosity, i'm in Sec 524 and it says that some seats may have an obscured view. my question is where is that part of the section and how badly is it obscured and by what? just wondering if anyone might know Ok...did it say obscure or obstructed? I don't think they will be too bad...all that means is that there may not be able to see a Very very very small portion of the field because of the poles that hold up the awning on the upper deck. You should be fine..
  22. QUOTE(BDavisFutureHOF @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) Game 2 is being offered at 200 over face right now at ticketreserve -- total would be 265 After review of that website...I am very confused and feel like if I were to make a purchase I would be sitting in the top corner behind two 7'4 Asian gentlemen.
  23. Those are auctions...they will end up going for way more...Looks like I'm dropping $300 plus a ticket for game 1 or 2... I did score 4 for game six...upper deck though 542, row 8...I'll probably sell them and put it towards my upgrades I'm still shocked by how well you did Steff...
  24. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:07 PM) Stub hub is not at all that high. Lowers less than $200 for both games 1 & 2. Uhhh....I'm not seeeing anything even remotely that cheap...
  25. QUOTE(ScottyDo @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:03 AM) bah, theyre late! its 12:03 CENTRAL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have an hour yet..stop freaking out :rolly
