I just heard the dope on the post game show say Grandal is one of the best defensive catchers in baseball. Are there really people out there that actually believe that??

Dahlquist and Thompson are 2.2 years younger than the avg player in high A. That's the most important stat for both players.

It's baffling how Hahn refuses to make the team better. Like right now Ryan Borucki is available and he's better than Sousa and Banks but Hahn won't try to acquire him. He'd rather just stick with what he has instead of trying to improve the team when there's an opportunity.

The crazy thing is I didn't talk to a single person this off season that wasn't sure they were going to make a couple big impact moves. They were talking to the right players and teams but ended up doing nothing and nobody seems to know why. Probably just a combination of Hahn's incompetence and Jerry's stubbornness.

Hahn couldn't have fucked up the off season more if he tried.

Oh yeah they F'd that one up good.

They had a bad draft strategy. They had a number of picks at the top of the draft and used them on low ceiling college corners instead of HS athletic middle players. They drafted too many redundant players and are now stuck with a slow, unathletic bad defensive team with zero versatility. Hahn's inability to find the right pieces to fill in the many gaps on the roster is also a major problem.

It ws the same when McCann was here. Grandal is a terrible catcher.

It's an absolute joke they've given him this many AB's.

When they need an out he's very easy to pitch to.
