Being a great player doesn’t automatically make someone a good manager. Robin is the perfect example of this. No one but the Sox were going to give him a manager job and he never received one again after his Sox tenure. The proof is in the pudding, my friend.

No idea. Grandal is younger than Donaldson but catchers typically age the worst of any position player.

I think the Twins losing two good prospects for two seasons of Bryant would have been more ideal for the White Sox than the Twins signing an equivalent performer for money alone for four years. We just have to hope Donaldson declines in his older age.
