Tired of seeing Yolmer Sanchez in starting lineup
Yolmer was for several years underrated in my opinion. He was a slick fielder and the switch hitting was a useful tool for balancing the lineup. Like regular people doing ordinary jobs...he has gotten very expensive for what he does. Garcia can do more things as 25th man and do it at less money. Sad but it works that way in most jobs. You simply don't want to price yourself out of a job. Asking for more money in arbitration doesn't work for everyone.

No one is exploiting anyone. Both the players representatives and Rick Hahn know how the system works. The player would like to start his major league career and the club would like the same thing. Work out an arrangement just like Eloy did. The fact someone already has 25 million in the bank is not that different from someone with 2.8 million in the bank. They both want to play in the majors ASAP.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
One that has depth in the outfield or starting pitching and is desperate for two good relief pieces.

GM's can work out the details of adjusting payrolls to fit the deal. My main issue is that we get pieces that play at the major league level...not prospects.

If Trout can be extended...so can Robert.

The rumors were (partially) true: Collins to AAA
Oh boy...Castillo's back. This is exciting. Can't wait for tonight's game.?

Since everyone knows the rules I'm guessing RH and Robert's agent could work out an agreeable extension to bring him up now and make everyone whole.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
Because I want immediate help to next years team...I think Adbert Alzolay a 23 year old RH starter and Hayward would be my asking price. Cubs get salary relief from Hayward who fits our RF problem and Alzolay is ready to make the jump from AAA. I might put Tilson in the deal to sweeten the pot.

Two runs scored isn't going to win many games. The offense is lethargic.

They are a good fit with Cubs IMO.

We might be seeing quite a bit of Herrera as the FO hopes to trade him at the deadline for salary relief.

White Sox activate right-hander Dylan Covey, DFA Juan Minaya
At this point it cost nothing to be patient. Losses are secondary to finding who might develop into a useable piece next year.

Colome & Bummer would make almost any contender look tough. I think Hahn might put together a surprising good deal.

Luis Robert kills it in his first game in AAA
I refuse to believe the FO will be anything less than aggressive this off season. The time is now.

Oakland has a foul territory that seems to come into play in every game.

Sox claim 1b A.J. Reed off waivers AND send him to majors
I like him working with McCann.

To Sell or Not to Sell?
Not easy to replace relievers like Colome & Bummer. They should only be traded for major league ready outfielder or starting pitcher IMO.

Our whole lineup is listless.

Aaron Bummer
We should not be trading players we need on next years team to compete. I would listen on offers for Bummer & Colome but not really interested. Overpays are the obvious exception. Abreu needs to be extended or traded. You don't want to end up empty handed.

To Sell or Not to Sell?
I would not be making trades for futures at this stage of the rebuild. Time to make our trades for major league ready pieces.

White Sox activate right-hander Dylan Covey, DFA Juan Minaya
I do as well. At the very least he throws strikes.

Aaron Bummer
Don't mess with Bummer. He is the best setup man we have.

I hope Herrera can contribute as you suggest. Just haven't seen it in several months. Colome and Bummer are super. I like Marshall, Hamilton & Burr when healthy. Fry has a role and even Osich looks OK from time to time. We all know that you never have enough pitching and you compete with the other 29 teams who have the same need.

The only positional hole is RF but the DH is still a mystery in my mind. Pitching need is the two decent starters and of course bullpen arms are always going to be needed.
