  1. Colome & Bummer would make almost any contender look tough. I think Hahn might put together a surprising good deal.
  2. I refuse to believe the FO will be anything less than aggressive this off season. The time is now.
  3. Oakland has a foul territory that seems to come into play in every game.
  4. Not easy to replace relievers like Colome & Bummer. They should only be traded for major league ready outfielder or starting pitcher IMO.
  5. Our whole lineup is listless.

We should not be trading players we need on next years team to compete. I would listen on offers for Bummer & Colome but not really interested. Overpays are the obvious exception. Abreu needs to be extended or traded. You don't want to end up empty handed.
  7. I would not be making trades for futures at this stage of the rebuild. Time to make our trades for major league ready pieces.
  8. I do as well. At the very least he throws strikes.

Don't mess with Bummer. He is the best setup man we have.
  10. I hope Herrera can contribute as you suggest. Just haven't seen it in several months. Colome and Bummer are super. I like Marshall, Hamilton & Burr when healthy. Fry has a role and even Osich looks OK from time to time. We all know that you never have enough pitching and you compete with the other 29 teams who have the same need.
  11. The only positional hole is RF but the DH is still a mystery in my mind. Pitching need is the two decent starters and of course bullpen arms are always going to be needed.
  12. They are not on my get excited list yet but they have not washed out as has a guy like Herrera IMO. Some would say Herrera is not out yet in all probability. Being a fan requires being optimistic. On a very bright note...a starting lineup that includes names like Anderson, Madrigal, Robert, Eloy, Moncada, Abreu & McCann is very exciting. Kopech, Cease, Giolito, Lopez and Dunning look good as well. Colome & Bummer could pitch for anybody and Marshall, Burr and Fry all have their places on a good club. Not a complete team yet but I believe we will be looking very competitive by the end of ST.
  13. I agree. Can't get my head around any logic in him being on this team unless they want a proven backup first baseman instead of one of the other options like Collins.
  14. I had the same reaction although I would give Lip Man that Herrera probably isn't going to make the cut. Carlos Rondon and Dunning belong on the list for some part of the season and one of Cordell or Tilson also has a chance. Names like Hamilton/Burr & Fulmer are not out of the discussion yet IMO.
  15. It feels like Alonso is still in the lineup.
  16. And those are conservative numbers.
  17. Bummer looks good as usual.
  18. I think he has one or two awards in his future. Keep the faith.
  19. LA is an interesting trade partner.
  20. As part of a Joc Pederson trade?
  21. This is the kind of game he is best suited for.
  22. Truth is I don't understand why Reed is up at all. Picking him up as minor league filler is fine but he serves no purpose on this team IMO. Sheets is just an example of actual minor leaguers in our system that you could take a look at if we really needed someone at the ML level. You and I both know that Reed/Sanchez/Garcia are not the answer on championship teams...they are the backup quarterbacks.
  23. Sorry...I knew that. A little brain dead I guess.
