    Truth is I don't understand why Reed is up at all. Picking him up as minor league filler is fine but he serves no purpose on this team IMO. Sheets is just an example of actual minor leaguers in our system that you could take a look at if we really needed someone at the ML level. You and I both know that Reed/Sanchez/Garcia are not the answer on championship teams...they are the backup quarterbacks.

    He will never be allowed to walk away. He extends or he is traded are his only options. He needs to be sure Boris has his best interest at heart. Boris sometimes loses big as well.

    A little early to know. Sometimes I think option #2 is obvious...sometimes he shows flashes. He will get the rest of the year to show us if he has a starters future.

    Our needs of starting pitching and right fielder are obvious. I think Rick will fill them adequately. The front office knows better than us the window opens in 2020 and doesn't stay open forever. Jerry is 83 and knows this is the last chance for Chicago baseball immortality. At least...I hope he gives a crap.

    One more inning and Nova will have another quality start. He annoys me but does do adequately a reasonable percentage of the time. He wasn't brought here to be an ace...just an innings eater.
