IMO they should bring Robert, Madrigal and Cease up asap. No matter how you do it...almost every prospect comes up and struggles a bit. Moncada, Anderson, Eloy and Gio all came up and looked bad. They need to get comfortable with the speed of the major league game. The sooner we let them take their lumps the sooner they are productive. As far as development goes...Eloy now looks far better defensively as Boston is working with him every day. The major league coaches in theory are the best in the organization. Why not have the golden boy prospects work with the best coaches.

Tommy John pitched for the White Sox. We invented what has now become routine surgery for pitchers. Currently our best pitcher has had TJ surgery and is good as new. On a personal note...I had rotator cuff surgery for 2 1/2 tears and my shoulder is good as new. These types of surgery are torture but you do come through very well.

I agree. In a game where hitters fail over 70% of the time it's hard to make fans happy. Look at what McCann has done for half a season...he still has plenty of doubters. In last nights game I was saying to myself that Eloy looked lost...one swing and I'm back on the Eloy train.

I'll tell myself that Nova is a quality pitcher and I like his stuff. I love the pace he pitches at and he really throws with confidence and challenges hitters. Can't wait to see this new version of Nova.

McCann strikes me as a guy who would value the security of an extension over top dollar in the future. Sale and Q both made the same decision.

McCann is just plain good. Everything he does looks best of best. By the way...his arm is excellent.

Like someone that knows how to pitch. Good tempo/mixed pitches well/no walks/didn't look like a deer caught in the headlights. Want to see more of this guy. Much more polished than most of the callups we see.

He wasn't stupid or cheap. Just didn't have the money to run a major league club.

The ASG is a name recognition big market game. Has nothing to do with sending the best player to the game. Doubt if I'll watch.

The 25 viable arms is not an exaggeration. Pitchers have gone down in droves this season. Oh for the days when we had Wilbur Wood to thrown both ends of the double header. What would he be worth in today's baseball.

The good news coming out of Anderson's injury is seeing Garcia play short so adequately. I didn't remember how competent he can be all over the field. A guy this versatile allows the team to carry an extra catcher or pitcher on a championship team.

Draft and trades is where the core players need to come from. FA can fill in the gaps. Trying to buy your team is prohibitively expensive.
