It's annoying. Every topic gets dragged off subject because of 2 or 3 jerks who think they know it all. There are dozens of positives surrounding this ballclub and that gets lost in these petty comments.

What I said to Moan goes for you to. You spend every post trying to nit pick. Try having an original post.

Do you ever make a post of some thought you have about something. It's seems all your post are trying to nitpick what you see as flaws in what others post. Very annoying...and I imagine quite intentional.

35+ HRs & 100+ RBIs do not go for a dime a dozen. Greg and I are talking 9 mil per. That's not out of line.

If you control him for 2 or 3 years you still have the trade ability. At this point he is still one of our best bats. No reason to move Jose until he is in the way of Vaughn. I think 3yrs/27 mil. is about right for both parties.

I think this is the actual intention...to carry 3 catchers.

A competent DH with skills to back up catcher/1st base can be a very useful piece of a championship team.

I favor your idea of a discounted extension. If that is not in the cards.. I trade him with our best wishes for his future success.

Like others I'm not a fan of some lineups, bunting situations and constant play of Alonso. That said...his won/loss record says he is doing OK. Players seem to respond/like him and our clubhouse is being lauded as very close knit group. Manager of the year is a stretch but he's OK. In todays baseball I like that he is Spanish speaking. Communication is a big part of the job.

Ricky might need to embrace the starter reliever concept because of our unique situations.

Once you tell me we will compete next year I'm with you all the way. Bring up Robert, Madrigal and Cease. Keep Abreu and Colome. Get us two quality starters and a right fielder in free agency or trade. Good to go. Might be frustrating as the new guys get their major league footing but I don't care. Entertaining!

I think if Collins can actually serve as backup catcher/ 1st baseman while being primary DH that is a very key player. Most teams have a DH that has no position where they are not a liability. I don't expect Collins to initially be all that good. In general I support bringing up any of the future guys as soon as possible. I really don't care about their mistakes as much as getting the exposure to major leagues. Almost any player has some level of being overmatched for a bit. Historically even the future hall of fame guys don't have barn burner first years. Bring em up and get the party started.

It won't be long until we see Robert, Cease and maybe Madrigal in the same way. I think RH will want to get the rookie jitters out of the way so 2020 is the start of competing for the playoffs. There is something to be said for this group growing up together. Probably just after July 31st would be my guess.

He would find Anderson bat flips more endearing when done on his behalf.

I think HRs and RBIs are good. Let's get more of them.

Use your eyes Balta. You've seen them both. McCann is the best all around catcher we've had since AJ. I know it's fun to debate these issues but I'll bet you think so too.

Just ship them...we don't need anything in return. Three roster spots is ample reward.
