correction: that article offers an opinion by one French writer, not the view of France. we can post any number of articles by looney Americans and win the loony contest. that article also comes from the National Review, hardly a credible source when they attempt to heap derision on someone. I give the NR the same degree of credibility as I give that french writer. Reality is France has been a valued ally on sharing of intelligence information.

I have a son there who says as your friends do and if I were to doubt your friends and doubt my son, I could always read the day's casualty reports.

oh that's a glass house! thanks! I kept looking at it figuring it was some sort of facility at Lincoln Park Zoo or Brookfield.

well hire him then! get a bunch of dyed blonde sluts leading cheers at the ball park and most of the posters here will forget all about baseball

could someone translate that for the people like me too stupid to get it?

Your professor is wrong. I take it the loser teaches at MSU? Correctly, it is anyone can get into MSU. It takes intelligence and character to get into UM. UM is consistently a top ranked school in academics. And hey, no one ever sued to get into MSU. They sued when they couldn't get into UM and had to go to MSU.

The famous home run Bucky hit against the Bosox was in 1977 and that was as a Yankee to win a one game playoff. If he ever hit a big home run for us to beat the Bosox I do not recall it off hand. I am still looking for info on his managing. On nostalgia value of course I would welcome him back. But I want to win in 2004, not be placated with a Old Time Sox Player as Manager. Is he any good as a manager?
-
Bucky was a favorite player of everyone when he was with us. How is he as a manager? I do not know anything about his managerial record or abilities.

DK - very true.

if the Score announced that I was a Sox fan, I'd double check that before I believed it from their reporting. If the Score announced the city of Chicago adjoined Lake Michigan, I'd get out a map and check before I believed their reporting.

CK, that statement is just a tad bit "out there" and theologically unsupportable.

I am disgusted by that too. The arrogance of power is always prelude to a fall. And it is a damn shame the current administration doesn't reaize that. And the respect given is the respect gotten - which is why this adminsitration deserves no respect.

and now: a birthday song Lather Lather was thirty years old today, They took away all of his toys. His mother sent newspaper clippings to him, About his old friends who`d stopped being boys. There was Harwitz E. Green, just turned thirty-three, His leather chair waits at the bank. And Sargent Dow Jones, twenty-seven years old, Commanding his very own tank. But Lather still finds it a nice thing to do, To lie about nude in the sand, Drawing pictures of mountains that look like bumps, And thrashing the air with his hands. But wait, oh Lather`s productive you know, He produces the finest of sound, Putting drumsticks on either side of his nose, Snorting the best licks in town, But that`s all over... Lather was thirty years old today, And Lather came foam from his tongue. He looked at me eyes wide and plainly said, Is it true that I`m no longer young? And the children call him famous, And the old men call him insane, And sometimes he`s so nameless, That he hardly knows which game to play... Which words to say... And I should have told him, "No, you`re not old." And I should have let him go on...smiling...babywide.

DePauw has been around a long, long time, and has made that list before Dan Quyale is their most infamous alum last I knew, they were division III in the NCAA but that was a few years ago, the last I knew

To tell you the truth, I have no idea what i think the team should do. The movement from being 2 up to out of it was so fast, it is still like, what the hell just happened. And I can't decide if I want to see any of these players back next year and I simply do not know what the best route is. I can't pretend to suggest anything. And thus I am reading the exchange of opinions here with interest because I am looking for something that makes sense - and nothing has clicked in yet on any alternative. All I know for sure is as much as I appreciate the good JM has done and am always sad to see anyone lose a job, espeically a manager who took us to a division title, it is time for him to go.
