Right on, my friend. I don't understand any longing for Lofton. He has a few good weeks and that was it.

Not a pet peeve of mine at all. The Cell should be family friendly and marketed that way. And there are ways to market to the 18-25 demographic that do not include come and get drunk. We have enough image problems with the reaity of drunk fans. And even when I was in the 18-25 demo, I didn't care for the come and get blitzed image - and I drank a lot then. The emphasis should be on come and have fun - and fun does not mean drinking. Hell, those who drink will drink but selling the place as Wrigley South for nonCubs fans is not the atmosphere that I want at games, nor the direction I want marketing to go. There are plenty of people who may have drink or two and want to enjoy a ballgame without the wrigley drunk frat party atmosphere. And sellibg to the 18-25 demographic as a place to come and get blitzed will not do anything to increase attendance - that is a small age group and not one that will be buying seasons tickets or enough tickets in the course of a season to make a diiffernce financially. The amenities at the Cell are not marketed enough - the bullpen bar is one that should be marketed, by the way. To pitch the place as a fun place is something that needs to be done over the course of a bunch of seasons so that people will think of Comiskey when they are planning a day or evening. A place to go with friends - for sure. That is one of the big attractions for my group - we go to see each other, and having the games as a place to meet is perfect for us.

25-30 games a year - of course I do weekends but not unknoiwn for me to come dowen for a single game either - I figure about 10-12,000 miles all told, what with then going to Glenview where I usually stay if I stay over - once reason to have both vehicles in top running form so I am nevr without transportation

I bring my grandson - used to bring my kids - my grandson is 8 - bring him to about 6 games a year - and this year we are doing the overnight too

205 miles one way... when you see a car with Michigan plates at the Cell that say WHTESOX (ZX300) or CWSOX (jeep), that will be me... and this week to get the WHTESOXmobile ready for the rest of the season so the CWSOXmobile can take a rest, I am laying out about $3,500* - damn things get costly** - but then again, what price can one put on seeing the Sox?????? *had some body work done and it looks so fine!!!!!!!!! **plus $99 for a new gameboy advance SE or whatever it is called so the grandson can play it on the ride to the Cell and then $30 for a new game because what the hell good is a new gameboy without a new game?

go to My Controls and find the place to edit signature and press the button that says Image and insert http://www.uselessgraphics.com/manlooking.gif and type in underneath that "Klueless Wonder" if you want in the signature box and then click the save change or whatever it says button and that should do it -
