Maybe I took it to the EXTREME, but this team just looks like s*** right now. I just can't stand to watch this team right now. I was pumped when the year began, but watching these games is no fun. I hate flat play too. I know what you mean.

And this is not directed at you but just in general - people post as if gays and lesbians were people "out there" somewhere and any snide sarcasms they make are ok. They are not. We have gay and lesbian posters on this list. And people are not "out" on this board becuse of the hate and the hostility, which denies them the same freedoms to just be who they are as everyone wants. This place should be one place where being a Sox fan is all that matters, without having to read slurs and bashing and hetero posturing. Racial slurs are one thing not tolerated here - and I am suggesting that my patience runs very thin with gay bashing. There is a lot more that I want to say but I am feeling very conscious of being a moderator and not wanting to really let loose on this subject.

been home very sick today with a horrendous sinus infecton, one of the more painful knock out ones that I have ever had. If anyone IMed me today and got no response, sorry - I was probably laying on the futon groaning and moaning in agony when you IMed. I also watched the Ring - might as well see a dvd when the pain is too bad to do anything elese. The plot sucked from beginning to end. Anyone care to speculate on the odds of 4 high school students from one school being dying all of the same day and no one notices? Or how did our little girl (who "died" in the 60s) become so VCR savvy? Who put the video cassette in the cabin? Does everyone leave a dead man in a bathtub without calling the police? How did this cabin get built over the well? These are only the highpoints of plot inconsistencies. And at the end - if you know that making copies kills others but burning all the copies means you die but no one else dies... well, sometimes you bite the bullet rather then sentence others to heinous deaths. So I was very unhappy with the film. Also say Igby Goes Down, which I loved in all my agony - many delightful scenes, such as our hero selling drugs to his former art teacher. Saw Drumline - really got into the probably preductable plot but so well done, it was fun despite my being in agony and pain, and the Secretary which is meant for a more, shall we say, mature art film - cinema fan type movie viewer who enjoys excursions into s&m. You know I am hurting when I rent four dvds and lay on the futon popping pain pills and antibiotics hour and hour becauise it hurts to stand, hurts to sit, hurts to thinnk, hurts to do anything. I just walked out of the office this morning and said f***, I can't do this today. It is nice the dvd store is 100 feet from my apartment. Maybe tomorrow I will still be recovering at home or maybe back to work (damn it maybe) but tomorrow I might feel well enough to respond to the IMs that I got today that I didn't know that I got until I checked the computer much later because it was hurting too much to even sit up straight most of the day. And the Ring sucks. Avoid it if you possibly can.
