  1. You're right. I actually feel like he managed the first game fine (after DK shit the bed) But the 2nd game lineup and management was awful. If you discount the AAA lineup you gotta have at least some pinch hitters/replacement players in the final 3 innings in a 1 run game/ yea? Maybe I'm just an idiot
  2. Game 1 was actually worse then the box score shows - if that is even possible. I think every single position player made at least 1 error or "dumb play" that wasn't scored an error. Let's go around the horn: 1B. Probably one of the more solid defense performances but as other posters noticed in the game thread he wasn't extending on plays at first and there were a couple very close ones. Also missed a short hop throw from Burger which he should have gotten IMO. 2B: Mendick actually didn't have any major blunders other than throwing a whiffle ball 2nd to 1st on what should of been a double play. Also went 1-6 on the day with 4 K's. SS: No comment needed here. Probably the worst game of TA's career. See video of him flipping off the Cleveland crowd cheering his errors. He did make a couple nice plays late in the game so I guess there's that... 3B: Burger with an error and 0-3 with 2K for good measure. LF: Vaughn bobbled and lost a ball on a single, no one advanced so wasn't ruled an error. CF: Robert airmailed a cutoff man. 0-4 and I believe he's 0 for his last 20 now? RF: Engel also airmailed a cutoff man which would have resulted in another run being scored. He did get a hit and our lone run so props to him. C; I think Grandal had one passed ball (not sure if it was scored that) but that's all I can recall. 0-4 on the day too. P: Keuchel... where to start... In his defense I will say after the atrocities committed by the defense I too would lose it. 7 straight hits at one point. 11 straight batters reached base. Failed to cover backup at home on a play. Blamed the defense OFC in the post game interview. Oh and to boot: The NBC team fucked up the scoreboard overlay for about half the game. TLR/whoever our replay guy wasted our review early. Bonus: Game 2 super joe sending our fastest runner Engel home with 0 outs, out by a mile. I'm sure I'm missing stuff but I'd rather not try to remember today...
  3. He'll be back from his hand injury soon and carry us in May/June
  4. Why not pull all the starters after 2 innings down 10-0 and then start them game 2?
  5. I would join the crowd with pitchforks...
  6. Ohtani perfect through 5 with 11k and 60 pitches.
  7. The Kane County Cougars could beat this lineup.
  8. I try to look at silver linings... Banks has looked incredible. Move him from bullpen to #5 starter and Dallas to the pen.
  9. Was the entire team out drinking until 4am or something???
  10. Awesome. I know a good chunk of players post and interact to an extent with fans on Insta/Twitter/Etc. but to me an old school forum has a more direct and person to person atmosphere which is what I like about the format. Liam if you are reading this: We all love you. Come say hi we don't bite
  11. Really? That's pretty cool. I wasn't here until 2019. I know Liam lurked(lurks) here but who actually made an account?
  12. I would love if ANY Sox player made an account here and occasionally posted. How cool would that be? Although it would suck for Yoan, Leury, and April Abreu.
  13. Ooh thanks for the tip. I'm definitely going to be more conscientious on spending this year at the park.
  14. You can get peanuts from any of the various "street vendors" outside the park at a lower price and bring them in. That is allowed by the Sox. Also, hypothetically speaking of course, you can buy shooters from the great folks on the 35th street bridge and put them in a pocket before entering. Once inside you can just mix with a soda of choice. You support the local community and help curb the price gouging. That is just hypothetical of course and I would in no way encourage people to do such a thing
  15. I'm a huge fan of Breaking Bad and to me Better Call Saul is slightly worse. (It's still an excellent show however so totally recommend.) Bob Odenkirk is an awesome actor.
  16. You have not been to a Sox game in quite a long time if you believe that it was $7.50 for a beer last year.
  17. Forget about this one and cya tomorrow
