  2. Everyone knew this was going to happen
  3. Well I’ll refer you back to my previous comment regarding police department complicity. The straw man is that you are setting up the argument that by stating this particularly police department appears to complicit that means the same as saying every single police officer in existence is complicit. That is a textbook case of a straw man argument you keep countering an argument that isn’t actually being made.
  4. Straw man. You’re the one trying to make it about all cops. We’re talking about the cops specifically involved in this incident
  5. If the barbarians come through the gate isn’t the one who opened the gate for them equally responsible?
  6. Jack was already arguing that before this was posted.
  7. “The police” means the police department as a whole, in this case DCPD. The police department appears to have been complicit in its failure to provide proper security. Three guys at a fence as posted video shows. No one in their right mind could think that was adequate, therefore it appears to be deliberate
  8. Who do you think was responsible? Police commanders that’s who
  9. This is what it normally looks like:
  10. Don’t you find it a bit odd they were outnumbered fifty to one in the first place?? They were only outnumbered to that degree because the rest of the force was not employed despite the fact people from the president down had been threatening to mob the capitol for two months now
  11. That doesn’t even make any sense. Police use overwhelming force on a protest in the street yet do nothing when the US Capitol building is being stormed in attempt to disrupt the transfer of power?? That’s the one instance when overwhelming force should have been employed
  12. Cops normally don’t stand in the background like that when their brethren are in the midst of an altercation with a mob. This video just illustrates my point Three cops standing in front of a fence while ten stand behind them doing nothing isn’t how it usually works
  13. The more I look at this, the more it looks like a staged event. Police let them in, literally opening the gate, and then pretend like they’re trying to push them back while cops in the background just stand around watching with their arms folded. Acting like they’re being overwhelmed when they’re barely making contact with each other. Looks fake as hell. No way any of those cops thought they or anyone else was in actual danger. As we’ve seen in real protests, cops afraid of a mob in actuality bust heads open, soak them in pepper spray, run them over, etc. But they just let them waltz in, endangering some of the most powerful people in America?? I don’t think so.
  14. Romney’s the only one who gets a pass.
  15. That narrative completely contradicts this: The full statement from the U.S. Department of Defence website: "Chairman Milley (JCS) and I just spoke separately with the Vice President and with Speaker Pelosi, Leader McConnell, Senator Schumer and Representative Hoyer about the situation at the U.S. Capitol. We have fully activated the D.C. National Guard..." If DoD is to believed Trump had nothing to do with it.
  16. The secretary of defense controls the DC national guard per executive order
  17. Understatement of the year
  18. Just like a rat to jump off a ship after its run aground.
  19. Where’s the full battle armor, batons, pepper spray and tear gas they’re so quick to use on BLM and g8 protestors?
  20. Five plus years ago when you said the fascist American public was on the verge people would act like you were crazy
  21. What Chuck does on his own time is his own business
  22. Eckstien April 3-May 10, 2001. First 31 games of career: 116 PA, .337 BA, .419 OBp Madrigal 109 PA, .340, .376 Looks like Eckstein not only came close to, but surpassed them to me.
  23. I’m sure there were numerous instances of him putting up those numbers in a hundred at bats. I remember Ozzie Guillen hitting .370 going into June one year.
  24. He clearly doesn’t have 70 grade speed. Speed doesn’t come and go. He appears to have limited ability at second base. That noodle arm isn’t going to be turning a high number of double plays. Mendick outplayed him by far defensively, showing greater range, quickness and ability to turn the double play. It wasn’t just the errors that makes madrigal’s defense questionable. He’s very slow getting to the ball and of course the arm is barely adequate at best.
