  1. Hitler didn’t like Stalin and vice versa. Didnt make either a positive.
  2. If Eaton fully regresses, that would be to a mean of .284/.362/.426. Sounds fine to me
  3. Anderson and Robert at .732? I think I’ll take the over on those.
  4. Apparently the Mets are a cesspool, with a brand new scoundrel of an owner as the cherry on top.
  5. What’s bad about reduced payrolls. You’re all talking about owners vs players but what about consumers? My grandma pays 100+ a month to watch Matlock and MSNBC not to pay inflated mlb contracts.
  6. That said I still would have preferred a Quintana signing in addition.
  7. I’d have to disagree. In today’s game, wins and losses come in the last three to four innings, generally speaking. With Hendriks, who can and has pitched up to three innings in an outing, Sox can have those other excellent relievers coming into the game in the fifth and sixth innings. I wouldn’t consider having Cease, Kopech, Crochet, Rodon, Seiver and Lopez to cover the last two spots as major holes either. Pretty sure that is well above average talent to cover 4/5 spots of a rotation.
  8. Maybe they particularly wanted Eaton though. Not a lot of similar hitters playing right field were available
  9. Vaughn is a better hitter than Robert imo
  10. Any one ever tell you that you bear a strong resemblance to Steve Stone?
  11. Now I’m wondering in what bizarro world are Marshall and Cordero interchangeable
  12. I’d still be wondering why they didn’t just sign Quintana instead of nickel and diming
  13. Maybe you should change your name to Holes in my Birds then
  14. 29 other teams always don’t get every single player
  15. Madrigal through first 29 games of career: .340/379/369 in 109 PA Eckstein through first 32 games of career: .337/417/396 in 116 PA
  16. If you don’t use the quote function the rest of us don’t have to read it
  17. Delusion and being a good ball player aren’t mutually exclusive.
  18. In Lopez’s case, regression would be an improvement.
  19. You guys must have missed it. He already signed with the Angels.
  20. His 80 career war plus his post season record says he’s a hall of famer. He was being dinged for his behavior even before Trump.
  21. If you follow the thread, I was responding to a post relating to discussion of a two year deal for Cruz.
  22. “Nomar Mazara, who the team the traded for in the offseason, reported to the Schaumburg training facility Tuesday for a rehab stint. While not confirmed by the team, Mazara is suspected to have tested positive for COVID-19.” https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/white-sox/white-sox-nomar-mazara-starts-rehab-assignment-eloy-jimenez-protocol
