  1. Best way to have an elite bullpen is to add at the top end, and Sox have been pretty clear they intend for Crochet to be a starter
  2. I’d have to disagree on Leury. Unless by second division starter you mean last place. He is a fairly good utility infielder, shouldn’t be starting any games in the outfield for a contending team.
  3. Red herring; slippery slope fallacy rolled into one. The Cleveland Indian name wasn’t banned. “They” in this case is the Cleveland mlb franchise. Last I checked they have neither the means nor the authority to ban anything. Please try to apply a minimal amount of rational thought at least
  4. Bureau of Indian Affairs is what I am in fact referring to
  5. So death marches, deliberate infection of disease, scalp bounties, systematic forced sterilization and removal from land doesn’t equate to genocide to you. Got. I guess this your little way of making America great again
  6. It was a program of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. BIA didn’t have anything to do with poor whites or black women. More denial
  7. I’m glad there is at least something we agree on. Although in this case a most unfortunate circumstance
  8. How do explain the government paying for scalps and forced sterilization then? You’re the one distorting history in order to appease the cognitive dissonance rattling around your brain. Trail of Tears was a death March. What next, nazis weren’t committing genocide because a lot of people died of exposure. Gtfo
  9. I haven’t heard of the Berlin Jews or the Hamburg Gypsies though
  10. There was intent. I can’t believe this is even up for debate. Bureau of Indian Affirs had a program of coerced sterilization that operated into at least the 1970s. Forcing people from land and deliberately limiting their population is genocide. US government for decades paid for scalps of native Americans.
  11. A leprechaun to represent Irish people does seem a bit racist actually
  12. Holland was pretty bad the previous two years. Wisler was a consistent 5+ ERA pitcher. 20+ innings probably wasn’t enough to reverse the effect of previous performance in both cases. I doubt either has any effect on the upper tier market. I wouldn’t have minded Wisler to help fill out the backend though. He did look pretty nasty
  13. It would be better if Mendick were a AAAA player and replaced with a superior player/bat. Leury can handle backing up the infield until injury strikes. No room for Yermin there either. Assuming a 13 man pitching staff that leaves four bench spots. Engel, Leury, Collins and preferably a yet to be acquired left hand bat
  14. Did roadkill ever register? If so what’s his username?
  15. You can’t be serious. The only thing it’s going to fuel is the whinging of whingers
  16. I don’t think pleading down to reckless driving is very unusual for this kind of case in AZ
  17. Whether I’d be happy with that production and whether the other guy is crazy are two entirely different questions

  20. In the vast majority of states it is a felony for electoral college voters to cast a vote in defiance of the electorate. The few exceptions are republican states like Texas
  21. McCann was always good behind the plate. It’s his hitting that markedly improved his catching has been within his career norms. Statistically 2016 was his best season behind the plate. They called him McCannon in Detroit
