I like his speed, I like that he had over 200 hits in a season, and I think he plays a fine CF, but BA easily has the better arm. Hate the low OBP though.

My dad is friends with the brother of the agent for Juan Pierre, also the agent for Jim Thome. He just got off the phone with him and he said it is looking pretty good that Juan Pierre will be signing with us after November 1st. Obviously things can change and should be taken as speculation and rumor as of now.

I'm starting to think the best World Series match up would be Detroit vs. St. Louis. Mets have Glavine and that is it. For the Cards, Weaver is pitching well, Suppan can be solid, and while Carpenter struggled last night, he can easily turn it on. Detroit's staff could shut down or contain the Mets line up and rake on their starters, IMO.

Kenny Rogers was an average pitcher, and than he hit 40. It amazes me. And I'm not saying it tongue in cheek or anything.

A couple of nights ago, Steve Phillips said that if Detroit wins it all this year, it is more impressive because we didn't beat the Yankees. What a load of crap. We only beat the team that beat the Yankees.

Speaking of Stevenson, the annual Warren vs. Stevenson rivalry game is tomorrow night in Lincolnshire.
