*Official* 2005 Soxfest Thread
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 04:20 AM) Just got back a couple hours ago from being there all 3 days, I had a great time. I think there were a couple of you I recognized like aboz, jason, and steff but for some reason I didn't say hi to anyone, I don't know why. I prolly saw you to 2k5 just don't recall seeing a picture of you so I don't know what you look like. Anyways like I said I had a blast, I think it's safe to say the seminars were completely different this year compared to last year as far as attitude. It was pretty funny when steff went up to make a comment to Kenny and he said "aren't you the one who yelled at me last year," it looked like you got kind of embarrased steff, lol. Hope everyone else had a good time too. You missed the massacre at Warren High!

What's your breaking point...
First roomate at SIU snored worse than anyone I have heard. Like pigs being slaughtered all night. After a few weeks, I HAD to move. I tried earplugs and everything. You can't imagine!

Opening Day Lineup
Mark Buehrle will get the nod on Opening Day over Freddy Garcia, manager Ozzie Guillen said yesterday. The Indians have plenty of time to plan for what they'll be facing on April 4. Guillen also indicated he'd use a lineup of: LF Scott Podsednik, SS Juan Uribe, RF Jermaine Dye, 1B Paul Konerko, DH Carl Everett, CF Aaron Rowand, 3B Joe Crede and 2B Willie Harris. If Frank Thomas is healthy, he'd likely bat third and Dye would be dropped to the fifth spot. Jan. 16 - 2:26 pm et Source: Chicago Tribune The report neglects where AJ will be batting. Dye isn't the best choice for #3, but not a bad one either I suppose.

TNA Final Resolution
QUOTE(orangekrush88 @ Jan 16, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) Orton is one of the most overated wrestlers in a long time. The WWE made one of the biggest mistakes in a while by hotshotting the HHH/Orton angle, there is no erason why that should have happened right after Summerslam. Now it barely has enough steam to even make it to Wrestlemaina. And as for TNA not being up to par with the WWE, if you watched the WWE's pay per view last week, order tonight then tell me they aren't up to par. Orton does good promos and sells with the best of him. Just cuz he doesn't do outlandish moves and no selling like most TNA runts, doesn't make him overrated.

Replay shows this game should be over, yet refs see different? I don't get it! I'm indifferent but these officials should be punished if Indy ends up losing. Horrible foul call on Purdue and at the end of 1st OT.

SMart move by Burke. He knows not too many teams will sign a 33 year old minor league catcher, no matter what he hit last year.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Houston gets involved after losing out on Beltran, unless Boras burned that bridge.

QUOTE(Yoda @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) I’ve read some reviews for it and its been getting some positive ones. Clint Eastwood is both the director and the main character in the movie. Eastwood is one of my favorite actors. All reviews I have seen or read have been awesome. Could be Oscar favorite.
