You can tell they are setting up for the return of Christian on Smackdown. I could see Jeff Hardy vs. Christian at Mania.

LOST!!!!
buddytv has a none spoiler review of the 2 hour premiere. They give no detail on anything so it's a safe read. Says the opening scene is jaw dropping. Why do I have to be such a loser and count the days down? http://www.buddytv.com/articles/lost/lost-...view-25435.aspx

[SCRUBS] Not the Final Season Thread
QUOTE (greasywheels121 @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 07:58 PM) What was so bad about it? You're not viewing it as the season finale, are you? Because that's not what it was. I just didn't like it. I never considered it the season finale. NBC screwed it up.

QUOTE (Cali @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 07:48 PM) Hopefully they got their s*** together and can make a quality final season, cause that 7th one was just bad. As much of a TV on DVD whore as I am, and like having all seasons of my favorite shows, I can't bring my self to buy the season 7 DVD. I kind of want to pretend it never happened. I got it pretty cheap and watched it. It wasn't as bad as I remember, except for the fable episode. That was bad.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 05:38 PM) It's too bad that the vikings might be blacked out. I bet the station buys the remaining tickets though. The fact that Minnesota can't sell out a playoff game shows how bad of a sports city they are.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 06:41 PM) I have been gone a couple days, so I haven't been able to get in here, but I still say ISU would beat Illinois. I don't care that Illinois beat Purdue. I think ISU would be able to beat Purdue as well. Not every time but they would beat them at least 30% of the time. Which is what I feel like Illinois is capable of as well. Every thing I said holds true. They play Creighton tomorrow. That should be a good indicator. ISU is still the more athletic and more experienced/smarter team. Probably better coached as well. Now you are bordering on idiotic. Dana Altman is maybe the best coach in the MVC and has been for a long time. Don't think your 2nd year coach is better than him for one second. It's amazing how one good year can go to someone's heads.

Gavin Floyd for Brian Roberts discussed
It would depend on an extension for Roberts, IMO. Gavin had a very good year, but who is to say he stays consistent.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 03:51 PM) Should have went to Phillip Rivers. MVP to the QB of a .500 team? Nah. There were a lot of contenders this year, but no front runners. Could of gone to about 5 or 6 different guys.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 10:35 AM) Scrubs starts next week... after that the only thing that needs to be said is LOST! This. Only 2 more episodes left for Friday Night Nights. I just don't think it will get picked up for a 4th season which is a shame.

Official Recruiting Thread II
Brandon Paul and Warren won the Pontiac Holidya Tournament. Paul had 31 in the title game and should of been the tournament MVP. He will have no trouble scoing but his defense has really improved since last year. Warren is a team playing very well right now. Jereme Richmond should of made the all tournament team, but only got honorable mention as Waukegan underachieved at Pontiac. Peoria Manual got in his head a bit and a weak technical was called on Richmond when the refs should of seen what Manual was doing. A lot of people in the stands saw the immaturity of Jereme when his team lost and they soured on him. None the less, he had a good tournament, even hitting some mid range jumpers which he really hasn't done all year. Richmond is having a so much better year than last year and as long as he keeps his head on straight, he'll be fine. Saw glimpses of Richmond from last year with his attitude when his team got into some trouble.

MLB Network
QUOTE (jenks45monster @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 09:40 PM) Agreed. When I woke up this morning and remembered that the MLB Network launches today, I nearly cried. When we got DISH Network, with AT&T since U-verse wasn't in our neighborhood yet, they said they don't have the MLB Package but I could watch games with mlb.tv because you can get the internet on your TV. Well, turns out you can't. So the guy either lied or mixed his words to confuse me, which isn't hard to do.

I hate Dish Network. I feel duped. I need to find a loophole out of my contract and go to Direct TV.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 05:40 PM) "The Pac-10 sucks."- ESPN asshat NCAAF analysts. Yeah, well the P10 is about to be 5-0 this Bowl Season which would be the best of any conference. The Big-10 is the conference that sucks. Period. Nobody will dispute the Big 10 sucks this year. Outside of USC and maybe Oregon, Pac 10 isn't very good. Get over it. I must have missed the news that the Pac-10 booted Arizona from the conference.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 04:14 PM) I really do. ISU has two players better than any player on Illinois. Osiris would be hands down the best player on that court. I also think ISU is more athletic than Illinois. The difference in my eyes would be the size. If ISU could get decent rebounding, I think they would win in a close one between the two teams. The difference would be Osiris and Oguchi's rebounding. I'm an MVC guy and an Illini hater as much as anyone here, but don't be ridiculous.

Catch-All Anything Thread
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 30, 2008 -> 08:40 PM) Carbondale just does not feel like it's in Illinois at all. That's not a negative comment about it, but between the 5 and a half hours or so it is away from I-88 and the appearance of it to a degree and the weather and the feel of the town even, it just feels like it's part of the south (although geographically, it pretty much is). I have REALLY enjoyed my time whenever I was there, but it just seems like a different world despite being in the same state. Makes me realize how big Illinois is. I think I would love living there actually though, except for the fact it seems so damn isolated. Other than Marion, nothing at all is that nearby it seems like. I have family down in southern Illinois, grew up there for part of my life, went to SIU. It's hilarious when people think that southern IL is the same as Georgia and Alabama, when it's not. I don't get it.
