QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2011 -> 03:07 PM) I'm still lost. He didn't say "Was it "For" Barney Frank, he said "was it Barney Frank". The only 2 nouns in that tweet that I can figure out that the pronoun "it" 2k5 wrote could refer to are the song or Newt. I can't see how asking if "it" is Barney Frank makes sense referring to either of those. Sheesh...

Heritage Bluffs is a nice golf course that's out there.

Rose is one of the best players to use the glass. James and Wade are two of the best at blocking those glass shots. It seemed like after Rose had a couple blocked, he started totally changing his shots in the lane. I can't remember seeing him that wild around the rim...throwing up prayer shots. The bigs are going to have to be active and ready to accept the feed. Things got weird towards the end...I felt like there was no set offense anymore and they were just playing street ball. They'll bounce back. That was one of their worst performances and they were right there in the end.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 17, 2011 -> 12:50 PM) The AP just ran with a ridiculously detailed accounting of the raid, the decision, and even the equipment involved. On one hand...America f*** yeah!!!!! Cool to see the plans and how it went down. On the other hand...who the hell are these "U.S. officials" Way too much info for a secret mission like that. Also, ya think?

A lot of my police friends on FB are posting this and complaining about the POTUS. Rightfully so IMO. http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/waterc...1#disqus_thread President Obama left the White House this morning a little after 9:30 am. He wasn’t on his way to the Capitol building, where grieving friends and families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty hold a yearly commemorative service. Though he was invited to recognize the fallen and offer condolences by speaking at the annual Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, he instead spent this fine Sunday playing a round of golf with aide Ben Finkenbinder, White House trip director Marvin Nicholson and U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk. Every president deserves down time. But after offending police earlier this week by hosting a rapper at the White House whose corpus includes a song lauding a convicted cop-killer, blowing off their service in order to golf seems tone-deaf, if not outright callous. Badly done, Mr. President.

I hated to see this kid turn that puck over in Game 7 cause he's played decently since being acquired. I think if he signs for around the same amount he has a spot here. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/hockey/blac...e-was-hurt.html -
Hooyah! I remember reading something about him a couple years ago or so on Memorial Day. Truly a Patriot!

god help us! link The fastest-rising names for both girls and boys came from a pair of reality TV shows called "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom." Maci was the biggest riser among girls, jumping 423 spots to No. 232. Among boys, Bentley shot up 414 spots to No. 101. Maci Bookout has starred as a teen mother on the MTV shows. Her baby's name is Bentley. "It certainly tends to say this is what people are watching and what they are connecting with," Astrue said. "I'll leave it to others to explain the phenomenon."

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) I don't know whether it is true or not, but I do know that the word was moving through military channels long before Barack went on TV to announce. Well I guess he tweeted something around 9:00pm CST. I saw them announce it on FOX Chicago right around 9:50. I then flipped to FOX news and Geraldo was talking about it and details were coming in. I didn't stay up to see the pres speech, but the news was definitely out before he got on the air. You probably don't have to know someone that deep in the WH to have found out around 9:00pm. The misson was over at 3:15 cst.

Well I guess like anything else there's going to be arguments. Should we celebrate? Shouldn't we? Who gets credit? Who doesn't? Display the body? Bury the body? Bury at sea? pfft...I don't really care about any of it. I'm glad he's dead. I didn't cheer, but I'm not bothered by those he did. Different strokes for different folks. What we should all agree on though...is the Navy SEALS are the most bad ass heroic individuals on the planet!!!

QUOTE (jasonxctf @ May 2, 2011 -> 10:26 AM) I got to say, that I saw Obama on that Corresondents Dinner on Fri/Sat night, can't remember which day. And it seemed like he had a little "hop in his step" and I thought to myself, man he's feeling/looking real good. Wonder why? I just figured it was the whole Birth Certificate thing. Guess he knew what was coming in the next 24-48 hours. Maybe he was feeling/looking good because he was the one who actually pulled the trigger.

WOW...unless I missed it, ESPN totally ignored the Bears pick. They just said they'll recap the last few picks...and started with Radiers and went to Jets and totally skipped Conte. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 12:25 PM) And five years of paying out versus one is a huge difference too. I agree with you guys. Unfortunately, I think Campbell is here for the remainder of his contract. ...check out the comments below the article as well. http://committedindians.com/nhl-free-agenc...y-is-available/
