Crunching some TIMO numbers.... Since 2002, he is an amazing .239/.287/.331 in almost 300 ABs when leading off an inning. Aaron Rowand is .269/.315/.430 in over 300 ABs in the same situation. Not great, but better.

What if he had gone 0-1 in that situation, but 3-3 in the others? -- We probably would have won because he 1) didn't make 5 outs. 2) allowed for more RISP at-bats by the team than in the previous scenario.
