  5. QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) That was the doubles record, wasn't it? 60 XBH for Young in that park. Amazing. Baseball Cube lists Maggs as having 41 in his time at Birmingham. But yeah, 62 of 108 hits for xtra bases is amazing.

  7. Why was MB out there? He had 110 pitches to start the inning. This is the type of game that Adkins is for.
  8. The Sox have been down by 5 runs in each of the last 2 games, and by 4 runs in each of the last 5 games.

  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) They won't think anything like that. THey'll say, "oh well, we got no hit by an awesome hitter. There was nothing we could do." We suck right now. SUCK SUCK SUCK. BEST.POST.EVAR. We will now score 100 kabajillion runs in the next inning.
  11. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 07:39 PM) one run enough for Santana? He won 1-0 last time out.
  12. Buehrle is 1337 LeCroy eats those pitches for breakfast, along with bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, waffles, french toast, cheeseburgers, fruity pebbles and a glass of skim milk.

  15. QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 05:12 PM) Didn't know that MJ&H's producers read Soxtalk.com He's probably not running with it because he saw that it came from Soxtalk.com. That's pretty much why I posted it.
  16. I read that earlier, but the most exciting thing about the article was it linking to Soxtalk.
  17. Harry from M,J, & H just mentioned that he's recieced a report that 2 big names are about to go down, but "he's not running with it"
  18. Fred Russell was released
  19. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 04:31 PM) I believe Pablo is playing and leading off... Like I said, I wasn't really paying attention... I could have sworn they said Blum at some point though
  20. They just read the starting lineup on M, J, & H -- I wasn't really paying attention, but I believe it was like this. Iggy 2B Blum 3B Everett DH Kong 1B Dye RF Rowand CF ? C Uribe SS Anderson LF
  21. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) I'll believe it when I see it. I see dead people
  22. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:42 PM) I don't know, those statements by him seem preety thought out and researched. Let me put it simply for you. The only way to remove a player from your 40 man roster is to waive him, making him eligible to be claimed by all 29 other teams. Brian Anderson is on the 40-man roster. He would be claimed by 25 teams. He will not clear waivers. I don't care what double talk Juggs is feeding you. Put him on ignore, you'll be smarter because of it.
  23. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) actually juggernaut is showing that anderson might not have to clear waivers in the griffey rumor thread. Yeah, we call that talking out of your ass.
  24. Here's an original column idea http://www.knoxnews.com/kns/baseball/artic...4008963,00.html
  25. John Garland, and his 16 wins, sub 4 ERA and $3.4M salary did not clear waivers. I don't care if you have a "reliable source" That did not happen. Every team in baseball put a claim on Garland and he was pulled back.
