  1. /this thread should feel much better in 30 minutes.
  2. Jermaine may just not be that good anymore... His three year splits are BAD, but obviously those are effected by injurys. Still he's .240/.306/.429 vs. RHP since 2002, that's not the line of somebody who I'd like hitting behind Konerko.
  3. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 11:57 PM) I thought you like uribe a lot? Do you think uribe will go back to how he was before last year or what? I do like Uribe a lot, but he's a good candidate for regression... .260/.300 with power is prolly about what I think we'll get out of him. Crede on the other hand I think .250/.300 is the floor for what he'll give us.
  4. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) I guarantee the Twinkees have that Dameethook quote on their bulletin board. They don't let s*** like that go. Watch them rip through the tigers with the ass end of their roation -- Mays, Lohse, Gassner Twins 3 Dmitri: Stoopid
  5. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) Okay. How about a sig bet? Fine with me... Steve's makin yours
  6. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) Yes, because Cruddy is going to hit for a higher average than those guys this season, right? I'd take a Cruddy vs. Uribe avg. bet.
  7. Where's the Fire Ozzie thread.... his wheel play cost us, not cotts walk. reconstruct the inning with a DP(cuz that's what that ball was) in stead of the wheel play. Tie Game, 6-6.
  8. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) Why? I have already checked out both Cotts' and Walker's major league stats. You know, the stats that matter more? Bringing up guys who can't get AAAers out sonds like a good idea to me
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) I hope Cotts is sent down. The guy is always wild and behind in the count. Give Kevin Walker his $425,000 and bring him up. Cotts is a lefty that can't even get lefties out. What good is he then? Maybe Walker can get lefties out... You might wanna check Walker's AAA stats again.
  10. WPA data again... I can explain away both sides don't adding up to zero through the indifferece call in the ninth. But that both are more than .500, that has to be from me deleting an improper log sometime in the middle of the game, then relogging it.
  11. I just want to be on record as say the Twins are pretty good. The last three years have shown that. I hope nobody in our clubhouse thinks the Twins suck.
  12. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) Vegas has us picked to lose today. Over/under is set at 9.5 I'll take us and the under.
  13. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) It's the tradition of playing on New Year's. The NFL has no place to kick the college teams off. College and the NFL have avoided each other in the past. Why not this year? It's just ridiculous. The sad thing is that the Bowls would easily maul a lowly regular season week for the NFL. The simple answer is Sept. 11th. The NFL is going to attempt to capitalize on having their opening coincide with the rah-rah flagwaving holiday that 9-11 has become. -- There will be huge american flags draped across the field. There will be a tribute to "the troops" and Pat Tillman. There will be reditions of God Bless America and Lee Greenwood tunes, maybe even a Kenny chesney sighting. And it's all gonna be transparent as f***.
  14. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) I'm concerned with him all year, because Detroit has a chance to compete with us for 1st. Although I agree with appreciating his services. Dmitri, is that you?
  15. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) Btw Yes we are on ESPN. Im 90% sure espn2. ONly for those in the Boston and NY markets.
  16. QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) what's with all the circular fields in nevada, new mexico, arizona and all the other desert areas? irrigation.
  17. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) ESPN 1000 actually broadcasted the first couple of innings of the Sox game tonight, up until the Bulls pregame stuff. I'm not sure who those guys are because I live out of town and usually cannot tune that channel in. Whoever those guys were that were doing the game were goofing around a lot and making a bunch of jokes. When Everett was up in the first inning, they were talking about how he had been swinging the bat well, and one said, "You gotta love a hot Carl!" I could not believe my ears. I almost pissed myself laughing. Anybody who does not know what a "hot carl" is, just do a Google search. If you are easily offended, I would recommend not looking it up. That was Mac, Jurko, and Harry... They were doing the PBP, but they were on a delay cuz they were watching the broadcast on TV. They had a good time with it.. They goofed on Hawk, DJ, Rooney & Farmer.
  18. Ever see that Speed Stick™ commercial with ARod? Even if you haven't, this should make you chuckle... http://joyofsox.blogspot.com/2005/04/every...-hates-rod.html
  19. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) I know each is a play, but what are you actually inputting into excel for your x-axis? Just 1,2,3,4...? Yeah I just run a column of acsending numbers.
  20. QUOTE(Ishmookie @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) They weren't doing the game today so...........does anyone know? You were on the wrong station... The bulls game was on.. Sox were on 94.7
  21. QUOTE(3E8 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) That is a thing of beauty. EDIT: Gene, what are you plotting the pecentages against? I mean, what are you putting into Excel? The time axis is just plays... I don't put it on there because some innings are longer than others, and number of plays would just be plain confusing.
