    pick one

if you were that drunk you would have passed out by now... Have another.
  2. most likely it will be too late.... If there is a scratch from the all-star game, it would likely be after the voting has already been closed for the internet voting thing.
  3. Truer word were never spoken... He took the bat out of Rowand's hand twice tonight against LHP. He sent Damaso, A Flyball Pitcher, into face Walker(only Arimas Ramirez has a hit a better ratio of Flyballs on the cubs) -- If that's not setting a pitcher up to fail, I don't know what is.
  4. You don't give away outs when you have a guy with a 1.200 OPS in the batters box. PERIOD.
  5. There was a terrible line-up out there tonight... Crede - what a disappointment this year. Burke - Hit .211 in AAA -- 'nuff said Buehrle - Bad even for a pitcher. Made 5 outs in his 3 PA's last game in an NL park Willie - .152 vs. LHP this season. Uribe - .200 avg since June 1 Those guys hit in succesion. 5 guys in a row who are near automatic outs. You can't win a game like that.
  6. why have rowand bunt, when he's hitting about .400 with an OPS of about 1.200 vs. LHP... He's your best hitter vs. lefties.
  7. Morgan: Mark Buerhle's got a high ERA for a guy who's got 8 wins. Glendon Rusch has a better ERA but only has 4 wins. That's because Buehrle has the best run support in baseball. Me: NO it's becaust glendon Rusch only has 9 starts yo f***ing MOMO. /mutes TV
  8. Matsui and Ramirez will win -- I'm not going to waste my time.
  9. I heard they added Colorado-style colege visits to this years game.
  10. What makes you think SS is headed to the pen because of Diaz. KW has alluded that there's another trade in the works. I think that's the reason SS was told he may be back in the pen... That and his only 60+ IP last season, a mark which he passed long ago already this year.
  11. The difference is that was because of uncontrollable weather conditions... The Wrigley Field Brass let the sox bat in the top of the sixth in a downpour for almost a half an hour, neglecting to protect the field conditions, SOMETHING THEY COULD CONTROL WITH A SIMPLE TARP. To directly affect the condition of the field by not covering it when it should have been covered, then turn around and call the game because the field isn't in the proper condition is f***ing ridiculous. I have no problem if the game was called because they couldn't get it in because of rain, but that was not the case... It was called because Wrigley field has the same drainage system as Six Flags over Texas.
  12. I've known a couple of people who went to Marquette. Also I know 4 who went to West Point, including one who recieved an appointment a couple years after he enlisted. I know a couple of people who went to Air Force Academy, and one in the Naval academy. I don't really know what else you want to know, I've never been to WP in NY, but it sounds pretty cool... I've been to Colorado Springs, and that campus is pretty damn cool. That would be my choice.
  13. Ridilin, and a swift kick to the skull. /just call me Dr. Cheat.
  14. Maddux ? WTF? the guy has over 290 wins right handed...
  15. Willie has nothing left to prove at the Minor League level. The last time he was at charlotte he was batting nearly .400.. As for the slugging %, his job isn't too hit HR's, it's to get on base and once on cause havoc on the basepaths. Complain about his OBP, or his lack of steals if you want to compain abuot anything. I agree w/ WHarris, it's a confidence issue... A guy w/ his speed should have more stolen bases than Arron Rowand... Last time I check ARod had twice as many SB's as does willie. One thing I have noticed about Willies lack of power, is that when a ball gets to the outfield on the fly it's either to the RF, or LF.... He's Pulling it, or slapping at it. He needs to just drive the ball back up the middle, and then the SLG % will come up... I can't remember WH hitting a gapper at all this season.
  16. Is the Phillies AA ballpark a bandbox? or are those numbers legit?
  17. f*** the rain.. play today... Win today... I'm done with gamethreads --- You are all the most pessimistic people.
  18. I'm pretty sure that's not where he wanted to throw the pitch.
  19. With the way these f***ers are celebrating, If I'm the picher one of them's getting a heater in the earhole.
  20. Foul -- but we're still owed one from last year when Crede had that one called back vs. Baltimore.
