I'll punch my ticket to hell. I laughed. /The Cheat is not a good person.

Sosa = 3K's

I'll take Robin Ventura or Jose Valentin w/ the Bases Loaded. Ventura .337 16HR's in 181AB's Valentin .323 9HR's in 99AB's
-
I think Jose Valentin did that once in an extra inning game

4-for-26 over the last 7 games isn't picking it up. 2 of those hits have been downright terrible swings. One was a 9th inning HR in a Blowout loss -- Thanks for the help JC. Everyone's expectations for Crede have been lowered. People around here practically wet themselves when he actually makes contact. If Jose Valentin put together a few months like JC has he would have been run out of town already.

you're naive if you don't think that decision had already been made before Ozzie was tossed. I was wondering why he(Baines) didn't go to Shingo earlier. Put shingo out there instead of Politte, and the game would have finished 10-6. Shingo still gets the save. I don't understand why Major League manager baby thier closers so much. Facing two extra batters would not have hurt Shingo, and it would have saved a whole lot of headaches.

WTF is the deal with ozzie and his lineups
Gene Honda Civic replied to letsgoarow's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Tuesday starts interleague-Road-games.. I think Crede sits. Uribe moves to third. Harris to second. Rowand in Center. Borchard in Right. Borchard takes the place of the power bat we lose by having to sit Frank/Konerko. Also as a switch-hitter he shakes the line-up up a little bit. Burke has only taken, What? 1 AB since being called up?. -- -

maybe you should state that in the title of your thread. Not attack Ozzie and his line-up. I wouldn't be defending Timo too much. Borchard will be here by tuesday, and Timo won't see too much more time. I think. -
What does Sox Pride mean to you?
Gene Honda Civic replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I have two sox hats. I don't own another single piece of White Sox Related clothing. I don't think that makes me any less of a sox fan. I'm just not a walking adverstisement. I have tons of "Sox Pride". -

Stop sucking Ozzie's cock? That's a good argument when you don't have a f***ing leg to stand on. Let me try it out. You'd see that Ozzie has made the right move a majority of the time if you didn't have Aaron Rowands dick in your snatch all the time. Yeah that works pretty well. -

Name one clutch hit by Crede this season. Not a Clutch sacrifice fly, or a clutch single, that would have been caught if they weren't playing no doubles. You can't. -

I know why you aren't a major league manager. Timo perez instead of Joe Crede vs. John Smoltz. Lets take a look at the splits. Joe Crede vs. RHP. .177AVG/.207OBP/.362SLG Timo Perez vs. RHP -- only marginally better this year at .224AVG/.241OBP/.301SLG BUT -- over the last 3 years has been much better than Crede .290AVG/.325OBP/.420SLG It's called playing the percentages. Now STFU. -

John Thomson - throws: right Aaron Rownand splits vs. RHP. .205AVG/.225OBP/.385SLG --- Sign me up -- HE should play vs. Every tough right hander. I'd hate for frank to actually get some work in at first base before we really need him there 2 of the next three weeks. In short, Ozzie makes the line-ups. Not you. Now STFU. -
The official I want Carlos Beltran thread
Gene Honda Civic replied to WSoxShuf's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Baird will trade to whoever gives him the most in return. If that happens to be us, then so be it. He has no chance of winning this season. I have reservations because there is little hope of us signing Beltran (a boras client) long term. I'd love to see him here this year, but don't wanna give up a ton to get him. -
I was thouroughly unimpressed with weaver also. His delivery, I think, has a lot to do with why he has experienced so much success this season. I would expect him to get lit up if he pitched in a ML game right now. He did appear more imposing than his brother does, and his slider could really develop into a NASTY pitch. But I agree with dan, maybe it was just the Arizona batters, but they seemed to be getting themselves out.

I'm all over the Gatoradea and H20 in the summatime.

The one thing I don't like about Miller is when you walk around the concourse, you are completely separated from the action. I don't know why the cell gets called the "Ball Mall" becasue the concourse out in Milwaukee actually is a mall.

coors is the best of the ones I've been to.

Kip was pretty good when he came up for a cup of coffee back in 99. He was only 22, though, and still had to learn how to pitch in the big leagues. The next two years he really struggled with his control. He did show flashes of dominance however. He had a very high WHIP, and struggled to avoid the big innnigs. Take a look at his WHIP's over the years. 1.35 when he came up for a cup of coffee. Then upto 1.8, and 1.5 the next two years. It wasn't until he got to Pittsburgh that he was able to avoid the walks. And not Until last season that he had a season with less hits than innings pitched. He's not doing all that well this year. He's never going to be an ace. Take a look at his numbers in 2002 vs. 2003. He's better in every category but saves in 2002. Your perception is just that they truned him into a good pitcher because he accumulated 34 saves. He also had 7 blown saves and 8 losses. I'm not going to even get into how bad he's been this year. He obviosly didn't have a position with the white sox. He was up and down in 2000-02, but only saw 3.1 innings last season. The sox haven't had him in as a starter since 2000 in B'ham, when they called him up, and sent him to the pen, they seemed to have forgotten that he was at one point a #1 pick and a highly thought of prospect. He obviously didn't impress the right people at the right times in this organization, but I'm not going to sit here and cry about it. The fact is he most likely wouldn't have made this team out of ST, and we traded him for a guy who was absolutely going to make the team and contribute. It would be pretty tough to send a guy back to charlotte for his 4th straight season. Ever since his first call-up he seemed to be being groomed for a spot in the pen. He would have been beat out for a job by Cotts and Adkins for the last spot this season again. The sox did the right thing and gave hima chance to comtribute somewhere, who saw more in him than we did. In return they got a guy fills a role. We pulled the same type of trade with Colorado. A guy who was stalled in one system get picked up by another and thrives. -- All that being said, Ginter's only pitched 5 games. Give it time.

Contreras would have made a good addition earlier in the year, so that Coop could have time to work with him. Now, He's been sent all the way down to A ball and even got knocked around there. He's lost all confidence, and is carrying a hefty pricetag along with it. It's too much of a risk if you ask me.
