I really don't like watching him in the outfield. He never makes a two handed catch, and his other hand always looks like its in his pocket. I don't know who he's trying to impress out there. -- I didn't see whateevr play you're talking about though.

I don't think that's Kenny's choice.... Seattle is content to wait until more bidders come in. Sure he could sweeten the pot now, but he would no doubt overpaying for at most 8 extra starts. 5th starter to make 8 starts prior to trade deadline. 5 before ASB, and 4 around KW's previous trade day (July 1)

Designated driver? You'd need a keg just to have enough beer to be able to play.

didn't think this deserved it's own thread, but I still wanted to post it. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/spor...mariside05.html

Just wanted to point this out. I don't think there's a staff in the AL with 4 guy under 4.00 ERA. Mark Buehrle 3.30 Scott Schoeneweis 3.64 Esteban Loaiza 3.78 Jon Garland 3.79 WTG guys -- Keep it up. Also, JG has not given up an unearned run all year. That's f***ing pitchin' Could be that he has had great defense behind him, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

Verlander is damaged goods... Let me see if I can find the link. I think it was BP. Edit: Found it From: Baseball Prospectus, Draft preview.

I think Anderson is the "safest" prospect. By "safest" I mean he's the one I'd put money on to contribute for a long time at the ML level. Reed is a "grinder". Nothing flashy, just a good baseball player. He get the job done. Sweeney has a ridiculously high ceiling, but will he reach it? Anderson, by all accounts is just a solid player. He may not reach super stardom, but there's little doubt that he'll contribute on the Major League level for quite sometime.

Someone at the SunTimes must have gotten on Moronotti after his f***ing lovefest fluff piece about Prior yesterday. At least he took his dick out of Prior's ass long enough to write a somewhat objective article. Too bad it took two trys.

This list is bunk. Loinel Ritchie. You've got to be kidding me.

I'm not entirely convinced JB's not going anywhere. There's no doubt that JB was hearing all of the rumors. I think this may just be to get joe to relax and just keep playing ball. He's been known to press too much, and if his mind is on other things like being traded, or whether he'll be called up or not, he's not going to perform.

Like that will ever happen. There will always be one Tom Hicks in the group. All it takes is one Organization handing out large bonuses, and the rest pretty much have to fall in line, or suffer without being able to get the top talent. -------------------- What type of bonus was he looking for? I thought that SD was gonig to be able to pay for anyone they wanted.

Nancy has made some public appearences rather recently. Ron hasn't been seen in years.

That's a damning stat... I didn't wade trough each outing that was posted earlier. That's the Key Koch has to get the first guy. If he does that he'll be sucessful.

Whoa -- There are some huge replies in this thread. I'm not going to read it .. I don't really care either way. You'll all aprecciate this though. http://62.210.133.184/melon/cometogether.swf It may take a little while to load. Well worth the wait. It's pretty cool. I love flash.

There wont be a 5th starter goin until June 12th vs. ATL. Other 5th starter dates ***projected*** June 19th vs. MTL June 24th vs. CLE July 1st -- I don't know what Ozzie does here. I think the 5th would be scheduled to go on the 2nd vs. the Cubs. The 1st is vs, the Twins. The 5th is going to have to face one of them. July 7th or 8th vs. ANA Then you are into the ASB.

Maggs absence actually makes the line-up more balanced. It's not quite the power hitting line-up it was before, but in general he is replaced with a lefty bat, who's job is to just do all of the little things right (hit behind the runner, bunt, etc.) anything beyond that is just gravy.

Here's ESPN's sortable stats. All you have to do is click the stat you want. There's 5 different pages for pitching stats. I already have it sorted for blown saves. Surprising Damaso is tied for the ML lead in Blown saves, Not Koch. Although I think Riske may have blown one in set-up duty today. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/pitchi...&hand=a&pos=all

Here's how I think it's going to play out. Borchard is going to be staying at AAA unless we really start to struggle until at least July 1. At that point, if there hasn't been a deal already, it will have already been determined if he's going to be dealt or not, and they will do with JB whatever fits thier plan for the future with him. He's no doubt going to be dangled around to other teams while we are looking for SP. I think he may be a guy Seattle quietly covets. I'd really like a deal to get done without him, but if that's what it takes to put the big club over the top, I'd have to say goodbye and good luck to JB.

He has the most 2 Out RISP AB's of anyone on the team... It's a sign of a changed mentality when he's at the plate in that situation, because his overall RISP average (of which 2 out, RISP is a subset) is decent at .268. Which means that he has a different approach when there's fewer than 2 outs and a RISP. He has had a 2 out RISP hit in each of his last two games though. So he should be up to about .145 now. --------- I just report the stat's that I find surprising. Carlos led the team last year in 2 out, RISP situations. I know he can do it. I'm just pointing out that he hasn't been getting it done.

Yep -- Trading Ichiro, to the Seattle fans, would be worse than the "white Flag trade" was to white sox fans. This is all jut a bunch of cubbie garbage. corey Patterson is recieving more venom on the northside than Billy Koch and Danny wright combined on the southside. They don't like him cuz he strikes out too much. Funny it never dampened thier spirits to watch Sam-me get shackled with the Golden Sombrero.

SP - Buerhle - (don't we have an option year for '07? could be wrong) SP - Garland -- (He should get a long term deal this offseason) SP - Garcia -- (sign after the trade this year) SP - Cotts SP - Honel Pen - Baj, Wing, Munoz, Wright(hey why not) 1 - Harris (2B) 2 - Reed (LF) 3 - Ordonez (RF) 4 - Thomas (DH) - Last season. 5 - Anderson (CF) 6 - Uribe (SS) 7 - Sweeney (1B) 8 - Olivo (C.) 9 - 3B ???? -- I don't think Crede's gonig to be here. I can't see any impact players there in the minors. Upon making this. I think we should draft Field.
