I think it was ST -- So they didn't know who was a Big-Leaguer and who wasn't -- Miles was offering him his Astros Jersey, so that probably means it was spring.
Looked it up just now -- MB is 3rd in the AL in Run Support w/ 8.79 R/G
MB is also 3rd in the AL, among pitchers qualifies for the ERA titile, in K/BB ratio.
EDIT: I hadn't read Donkeys post -- Beat me to it.
That was a class move by Ozzie -- I'm sure mark could have easily gotten the next guy out -- But he already had 115 pitches, and wasn't going to be put back ou tthere in a 11 run game -- Taking him out there gave teh fans a chance to acknowledge his perfprmace for the past tow games, otherwise he just would have been in the dugout--
Nice move Ozzie
During yesterdays telecast on FSN they flashed a graphic about quality starts --
The Cubs lead the Majors in QS's the past two seasons(2003 & 2004), Yet surprisingly in second was the Sox.
Too bad we wasted 24 runs in those 2 starts -- MB only needed 1 run in each of those games. I'm sure the last two outings move him up near the top in the ML (with Washburn) in run support -- I'm too lazy to calculate it, so I'll post his position after ESPN does the work for me, tomorrow.
I wonder where the "continued Decline of MB" threads are now?
Qwerty --
That's about the fifth attached-image-non-sequitor I've seen today from you?
I'm drunk so maybe I'm not getting the connections here, but what gives?
I'll admit to being a lazy-link-clicker --- Although dan normally does a good job of telling me the most important stuff, I almost never click the box score link.
I beleive the same horse has won the first two legs of the triple crown in 5 of the last 6 years --- That's just from memory though, so I could be wrong --
The Belmont is much longer.
Funny Cide won the Preakness in just as impressive fashion last season, but wasn't able to go the full distance at the Belmont.
