Jeckle that wins the award for being unintentionally the funniest post I've read in quite sometime --- BeGood has some competition. -
MB's Quality starts 2003 - 23 Quality starts (tied for 3rd in the AL) 2002 - 23 Quality starts (tied for 5th in the AL) 2001 - 20 Quality starts (tied for 9th in the AL)

He's actually Kevin Mench.

From the sound of the first interview I heard with Brooks Boyer, it sounded like that was one of the main things that he wanted to change, though it sounded like his hands were tied -- Just my interpretation of what i heard Hawk or DJ asked him about the policy, and Brooks responeded "It's something we are looking at"
-
That might actually make listening to him bearable.

Nothing will happen until after June 1 -- Warner was given permission to talk to other teams, but the Rams will keep him on until june first to spread the cap hit over two years.

I watched the 2000 NCAA championship with Majerus -- That was such a cool experience. He was fun to listen to during that game. He knew what was going to happen before it did. He'll be an excellent analyst.

I found Jim Parque with an 0-1 with a 8.64 ERA pitching for the Tuscon Sidewinders.
-
I found Tanyon Sturtze, of the I'm-a-major-league-starter-trade-me-if-I'm-not-in-the-starting-rotation-Sturtze's, with a 3-0 record and a 2.70 ERA in the starting rotation for the Las Vegas 51's.

He was in Boston last year -- Up and down between Pawtucket and Beantown. I don't know where he is now-- He's not with Pawtucket, I just checked.

Poppy we've missed you since 2000. It's good to have you back --- Welcome to the Board

Reddy, get off of Billy Beane's knob -- Shingo as a righty specialtist, has rigthies hitting at a .091 clip against him, with an OPS of .221 Bradford as a righty specialist, has righties hitting at a .276 clip against him, with an OPS of .704 Clearly Bradford is the guy those obscure stats tell me is more valuable. Bradford is even being paid more money than is Shingo.

Maybe it should have an asterix next to it. For the Billy Koch factor.

One Run Games We are 10-1 in 1-run games. At this point(5/3/03)last season we were 2-3 in 1-run contests. Overall we finished 18-22 in one run games. You have to win the close ones. Minnesota's made it to the playoff's consistantly over us because they win the close ones. Minnesota's was 25-19 in 2001, 29-16 in 2002, & 22-20 in 2003 compared to our 22-22 in 2001, 15-21 in 2002, & 18-22 in 2003. When we last won the division in 2000, we were 28-18. Kansas City has 2 wins from thier starting rotation. Scott Shoeneweis has 3. In the Absence of JM, Jon Garland leads the team in IP/start. He was willing to take one for the team yesterday to save the pen if need be. Danny Wright lost 4 games, every one he started, the other 11 pitchers on the staff have lost 4 combined The Royals are 7.5 games back, ALREADY. Jon Adkins, Shingo Takatsu, Neal Cotts, & The King of Pop all have ERA's under 4 Juan Uribe, yes that Juan Uribe, has an OPS over 1.000

He was terrible the first week of the season too -- He's really streaky -- I'm actually not worried.
-
I even had the game on in chicago on ESPN2 -- only for the 8th and 9th -- but at least i didn't have to listen to DJ.
