  2. he didn't sound very impressive at the start of todays game, but he got on a roll and displayed some great control too. the announcer said he threw 98 pitches - 73 for strikes.

  5. I got my baseball fix -- Listened to the entire nights game. Diaz improves to 4-0 -- 7IP 5H 2R 0ER 1BB 8K- 98pitches-73 strikes Mike bell -- grand slam in the first -- the nights only scoring -- Reed,Borchard, and Valentin combine to go 0-for-10
  6. Since there was no game tonight -- here's a thread about a game many people refered to as the "Best game ever" -- Of course this was before the Bartman game.
  7. I've seen him in person once -- That was enough -- Bonds vs. Colon -- It think we remember that game -- Bond 0-3 with 3K's vs. Colon so far in the game, Going for the golden sombrero -- He Parks it.
  8. For those thirsty for baseball -- You can listen to the knights game here -- Diaz is pitching -- Knights lead 4-0 -- Reed 0-1 with a walk.
  9. Brando -- Did you see his AB vs. Gagne? Sure he may be on roids, but roids do not improve your reaction time or your hand-eye coordination. In that AB, bonds crushed a 99MPH fastball into McCovey Cove, but foul. On the next pitch, he adjusted his swing timing, and CRUSHED a 99MPH fastball into the stands in right center. -- There is no other hitter in Baseball who can do that. Sure tons of guys can hit a 99MPH fastball, and they can hit it a long way too, but not off of Gagne, not when they have to protect against a 73MPH Sharp-breaking curveball. That's just freakish skill there.
  10. You're not dating yourself to badly -- I'm 24 and got that reference.
  11. His group still says members. I don't think he's been banned -- I don't think I would agree with that descision -- He didn't seem to be a troll, just a little odd.
  12. Since grammar class is in session, Dan missed this one too. Should of = Should have or Should've.
  13. I could put up a good argument for both sides -- I could even refute your Pudge -- but I won't becasue I have one foot planted firmly in each camp. -- I would be interested to see what Reddy had to say though. It's always fun to hear someone elses opinions.
  14. Ooooh -- I like Hot Dogs with nacho cheese on them -- Can you make me one of those? Mmmmmmmmm.... Nacho Cheese Dog.
  15. I think it was more that she wanted you to give more respect to Ray Durham.
  16. 2004 Individual Statistics - Charlotte Knights Complete through Thursday, Apr 29 Batters BA SLG G AB R H TB 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS E J.Reed .338 .450 19 80 9 27 36 7 1 0 7 3 12 6 0 0 --------------------- Prior to this season Jeremy Reed was walking twice and much as he was striking out. He was walking at a pace about .8/G, and strikeing out about .4/G -- Right now he is walking at .15/G, and striking out .6/game -- That trend, coupled with his lackluster performace in spring training, makes me want him to see more time in the minors. He is only in his 3-year of Pro ball.
  17. Neal's Inherited runner stats 6-Inherited runners, in 4 games, 3 of them in scoring position when he entered -- 1 crossed home plate. That one run was in the game that buerhle gave up 7 runs in the first inning, so bust on him.
  18. Your "cotts to AAA" post was made on April 12th -- on that date Neal had pitched a grand total of 3 innings recieving only one inheritted runner, who DID NOT score... he allowed two hits and 1 BB in that time frame, while striking out two. I don't have a "crush" on the guy -- He can play. Plain and simple -- You do seem to have it out for him though --
  19. Here's another pearl of wisdom from the walrus COO COO Ca Choo
  20. Believing everything you read is BS.
  21. Maybe they just hate Canada -- -- We did beat thier only baseball team you know. /Montreal is not playing baseball -- you actually have to score runs to do that.
  22. Only because Matt LeCroy is on the DL.
  23. I still would have liked to have seen Neal out there for the ninth, but it's good that Koch got the opportunity to work a meaningful inning in a close game. Give him some confidence.
  24. And that one run was largley on baserunning alone.
  25. Somewhat -- He has been used very sparingly -- But just recently we've done it with guys : Sean Lowe, Gary Glover.
