Begood's worse than that -- he's 0-4 Even DW is 0-3
-
I think shingo is a High Risk/High reward type guy -- he could easily come in and strike out the side -- but He can also give up the a few longballs if a hitter can recognize his stuff Either way -- as I said in the gamethread -- I like watching him pitch -- He's just fun to watch.
-
Well if taking 2 DT's in the first 2 picks isn't an admission that you sabotaged last years season by trading away your starter, a key player to the eventual superbowl champs, I don't know what is.
-
HE's definitly a reach if troupe strait or boulware are there.... He wasn't the best reciever on his team last season... That's a knock on him.
-
Yeah we have two fourth's -- I'd be cool with that. --- I was amazed that Florida didn't use troupe in the outback bowl -- he didn't have a catch until the late third quarter -- He's a stud -- That one play vs. Ole miss was amazin.
-
Bears aren't gonna take a QB until at least the 6th -- Not with rex -- Those two WR's just mentioned are reaches in the 2nd round.
-
-
with as many WR's as have been drafted -- There's not much value left for a 2nd rounder.
-
I'd take Boulware, definitely. Though i doubt he'd fall to us -- Lehman I don't know enough about.
-
If strait is still there -- We better take him -- I guess Dorsey would be alright -- He may be able to step into a LT spot at some point.
-
I was hopin for Babin to fall I think he would have been a Rosey-style LB convert.

I'm taking a page from Brando earlier in the Year, I say we have two different line-ups, based on the pitcher we face ... One for Righties, One for lefties. (all stats do not include Saturday's game) Vs. Righties #1) 2B - Harris - He's only batting .260 vs. Righties, while only getting on base at a .305 clip, but I give him a little more time to prove he can produce out of the #1 spot #2) LF - Lee - Hit's righties better than Lefties, and BA >.300 from the #2 spot #3) RF - Maggs - No complaints so far about maggs #4) DH - Thomas - Has been getting on base at a career best pace -- To bad it's been leading off the second inning too much #5) 1B - Konerko/Gload -- give gload some starts vs. righties -- Konerko really struggled with them last season, but looks more comfortable this season -- and his RBI numbers look good so far. #6) SS - Valentin/Uribe -- Valentin has come around vs. the lefties and will warant some play vs. both (split time) #7) CF - Rowand -- has just been flat out better than Joe -- Uribe could be put in here at third occasionally #8) C - Alomar/Olivo -- Sandy has a better average vs. Righties than lefties -- So if Buerhle is pitching vs. a Righy it shuold be a no brainer -- But if Carl Crawford is on the other team, Olivo should be out there #9) 3B - Crede - just been flat terrible -- Drop him to ninth until he gets out of his funk -- shift the CF and C slot down if Uribe gets the start at third vs. Lefties (this is a potent f***ing Line-up) #1) SS/3B/2B - Uribe find him a position to play -- He should play every game vs. lefties -- Batting .375 w/ a .444OBP so far this season vs. lefties #2) CF - Rowand - Career .385 hitter in the #2 spot - career .300 hitter vs. Lefties #3) RF - Maggs - No brainer #4) DH - Thomas - Best hitter in Majors vs. Lefties #5) 1B - Konerko - Had the biggest disparity of any hitter in the majors in Lefty/Righty BA last season-- Crushes LHer's #6) LF - Lee - Move him down a spot in the order -- career he hasn't hit lefties as well as righties, but he's over .400 vs. LH this year. #7) SS - Valentine/Uribe - If willie does lead off vs. a LHP, Uribe better get in the game somewhere-- Either #2 hole or here as a SS #8) C - Olivo/Alomar -- Olivo has always hit LHP, now he's really punishing them though #9) 3B - Crede/Uribe - Joe moves down, if he begins to hit he can go up to the #6 spot vs. LHP, but for how You've EARNED the #9 spot joe.
-
Well Ozzie pulled a JM today and put a Sunday line-up on the field -- Carlos has shown he can't get the job done in the #5 spot -- Crede's been terrible What would you do to change the line-up?? I'll post one in a bit, but it will likely take an hour for me to finish the dissertation I'm going to write.

I'm starting a new line-up thread... Right now. -
Babin -- I thought that he would be a good pick-up for the bears -- I thought he would sneak by to the second round though

It's not even close -- I don't know why Ozzie doesn't see it. -

I know people don't like the basepath jamming Thomas-Konerko pair --- But look at Paulies numbers comared to CLee's G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS Bases Empty 15 32 2 9 1 0 2 2 3 0 0 0 .281 .343 .500 .843 Runners On 12 23 5 7 1 0 1 9 4 2 1 0 .304 .448 .478 .927 RISP 10 16 4 7 1 0 1 9 3 1 0 0 .438 .526 .688 1.214 RISP w/2 Outs 8 8 3 4 0 0 1 6 1 1 0 0 .500 .556 .875 1.431 Bases Loaded 1 1 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 1.000 1.000 1.000 2.000 G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS None on/out 11 18 2 5 0 0 2 2 2 0 0 0 .278 .350 .611 .961 None on:1/2 Out 15 14 0 4 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 .286 .333 .357 .690 Men on, 2 outs 10 9 4 4 0 0 1 6 2 1 1 0 .444 .545 .778 1.323 Man on 3rd, 4 1 1 1 0 0 0 1 2 0 0 0 1.000 1.000 1.000 2.000 Now that would be some protection for frank -- He'd see better pitches, and when he did walk he'd be more likely to be driven in. -

Frank is drawing tons of walks this season because he has no protection behind him. I'm not say carlos isn't protection... but most of his hits have come without runners in scoring position, and he's too undisciplined up there -- -
