Clement carried a no hitter into the 7th --- The "happless" D-rays gave the anemnic Sox a victory -- You'd be upset if it was the other way around (loiaza throwing a brilliantly, and grudz walking in the winning run) and the Cubs getting the front page, so do us all a favor and quit complaing about s*** that happened two days ago --
  2. General Question - To anyone -- What to you do in the off-season? conditioning wise? for fun? Also ask them if they think Tommie Harris was a good pick for the bears, or should they have gone with Wilfork?

I was organizing a trip with a few of my friends and my brothers friends, Thankfully I didn't by tickets. -- Last week my parents informed me that my brother and I would have to be present at my sisters college graduation on the same weekend. :puke -- I hated my own graduation, why would I want to go to somone else's.

  6. What I was saying is last season was obviously a case of sabotage by the GM. How many players did he trade a week before the season opened? 1 -- He started for the superBowl champs -- Is that the same position we had to draft with our first two picks? yes -- So my big beef is still with the team that was put on the field last season -- I don't know why everyone has such faith in Angelo when he tanked a draft in 2002, and sold off a key component to the defense in 2003 -- Last time i checked the guy doesn't walk on water. I may be wrong about the the Tank pick, You're right that washington would have walked this season -- so they likely would have needed to draft a couple DT's anyways -- but if Angelo actually had a plan last year, he would have gotten one who would have been ready this season(if he planned on keepingTW) or he would have drafted one who would have been ready to step up this season, in last years draft -- He didn't and just sold off Washington to the quickest bidder. I would have liked to see them go with a CB in the second, and LB in the third (or vise versa)-- Vasher may fit right in allong side tillman, but he may just eb a nickel guy too. -- and Joe is by all acounts a "reach" pick -- He drafted WR in the third, I don't think any opposing scout would have said that the bears recieving corps is a weekness, yet Angelo drafted here anyway -- what does our starting LB situation look like? Urlacher - Odom? - ???? Those are the reasons I gave the draft a C -- He filled positions that didn't necessarily need filling, at least not that high in the draft -- and He gave himself a cupboard so bare that he had to draft thte same position with the first 2 picks. I've admitted that I could be wrong, and I hope I am about some of these picks. But most around here seem to be just blindly bowing to the feet of the all-knowing Jerry Angelo, and that's an accolade he hasn't earned.
  7. I picked Krenzel -- He's the only one up there who just by stepping on the field will have exceeded expectations. I doni't know how those guys in the first round can live up to the hype.
  8. What crazy is I have Nat dorsey on the board here -- We didn't even take him with our thrid round pick.
  9. Yeah free agents didn't cominto play until March -- On the whole we didn't get too many right.
  10. Just to note... I'm not as sure who he was refering to when he kept calling them dumb -- My brother says it was about willie's but attempt in the ninth -- I just remember him repeating "dumb" a few times.
  11. I liked this one too... Is that the same Kelly Dransfeldt who had a game tying hit with two outs in the bottom of the ninth today? Is that the same Uribe who has earned the nickname "baby berroa" around here? The same Uribe who has people around here trying to get him into the Line-up at 2B,3B,SS, anywhere?

NO not at all --- I was arguing as loud as I could against Ponson -- I even went so far as comparing every one of his starts to JG -- to prove that JG was just as good -- I wouldn't have minded having Ponson on the team, but the economics just were'nt going to be compatible with this franchise.

I don't know what his problem is, but he's not producing like an RBI guy should -- At the very least he should be moved out of the #5 spot.

I gets a C rigth now -- I like the Harris and Vasher picks -- Krenzel filled a need. -- Drafting Tank, which could end up being a good move, seems to be an admission by Angelo that we were so weak at the DT position that he needed to burn his first two picks on a position that he was trading away the starter from just weeks before the bears first game last season..

Wow I can't believe the beating Craig Krenzel is taking in this thread -- Think --- the bears are installing a new offense --- An offense that isn't really predicated on throwing the deep ball -- it more of a short/quick/timing passing game -- Krezel has done nothing but win -- I'll take him -- he's slotted to be #3 this year, and I would feel completely comfortable with him stepping in to run the offense in an emergency -- He can make the short quick throws -- Is a big guy who moves surprisingly well -- Remember somebody had to be getting Mike Jenkins the ball -- In the rare event that the guy does have to start, or be put in late in a game -- He's very well experienced, and can win close game, can execute the 2 minute drill (Kordell Stewart anyone? :puke ) -- The Bears won 13 games in 01 because they kept it close, didn't make mistakes and ran the 2 minute drill well -- Ohio State won a National Titile with Krenzel at the helm using the same philosophy. This kid has the exact same grade coming out of college that Tom Brady did. Brady was a game manager, threw the short paasses, and "didn't have the arm" that slipped him down to the 6th round -- I'll take 'em And for all of you bowing to Angelo's "reaches" because of the draft he had last year -- does anyone remember the 2002 draft? How soon we forget? Ro Williams in the second round . He's been productive for us right? :puke Getting Alex Brown in the fourth was more about him slipping because of off-field issues and nobody wanted to deal with them, ala Randy Moss. Brown was considered a late first/early second round talent.
  20. The bullpen has been fine -- there has been two bad outings by koch and marte -- and aside from that they have been rock solid -- If you don't like our pen -- GO root for cleveland, TB, or KC -- Then comeback and tell me we havea bad pen.
  21. Since we're are stating our record while in attendance -- I'm perfect also -- 2-0 thursday and today -- In 2000 I went to 10 regular season games and they were 10-0 -- but then they got swept in the playoffs -- I was only there for one of those games though
  22. On the way home from the game I heard ozzies comments -- I don't remember his exact quote, but it was something like "getting picked off like that is dumb, just dumb, a dumb play" -- I remember him saying dumb 3 times very distinctly.
